Young, Johnson, Riley, Coulibaly and Sarr are the starting five tonight against Orlando
Trae Young is back in the lineup today for Washington. Anthony Davis, Kyshawn George, and Cam Whitmore are out with injuries.
Out of all the players everyone guessed that would break Kobe’s 81, nobody thought it would be Bam Adebayo.
Bam has 60 in three quarters. Good Lord
Probably won’t but we will see. D-Wade got on Bam to be more aggressive and he’s taking it to heart.
Bam was going crazy
I’m a Wizards reporter so I’m posting about Sarr lol and Bam has 43
Halftime Wizards 62 Heat 76
Alex Sarr having a big first half in his second game back with 23 points and six rebounds
Bam Adebayo has 30 points in 10 mins…
Sarr and Bam going bucket for bucket right now
No Trae Young tonight. The starting lineup is Carrington, Coulibaly, Johnson, Riley, and Sarr.
Tre Johnson up to 100 3’s, I think he can break the franchise rookie record. He just needs to get two per game for the rest of the season. With Trae Young getting him looks like this, he can.
Bub Carrington holds the Wizards franchise rookie record for 3’s made in a season with 138. With 19 games left in the regular season.
This is the type of stuff I was looking for out for with Trae Young and Alex Sarr. Running the pick and roll. Trae is able to make these difficult passes that can get Alex into the lane for easy looks.
Final score: Wizards 118 Pelicans 138
Alex Sarr and Trae Young are sitting on 17 mins for the game. Both are on minutes restriction for around 17-20 minutes. They are out the game right now and may be done for the night.
Tre Johnson has reached 100 career three-pointers, while doing it in 50 games. He becomes the fastest first-year player in team history to reach the mark. Kyshawn George set the record last season in 59 games. Per Wizards PR
Close game going into the third. Wizards 65 Pelicans 67
Trae Young having a big game so far with 14 points and six assists. Already scored more than he did in his first game in eight less minutes.
Pelicans have shot 36 free throws so far in the first half. Wizards have only shot seven.
Trae Young is up to six assists in nine minutes in the first half. His first game he played 19 mins and had six assists as well. Already getting used to finding his new teammates.

Maryland is well represented in this game with Bub Carrington, Jordan Hawkins, Julian Reese, Cam Whitmore and Derik Queen.
Back-to-back threes by Ice Trae
Trae found Tre for back-to-back 3s. He’s going to get everyone some great looks
Last game, I asked Trae Young what it was like to finally play with Bilal Coulibaly. Slowly but surely, this team is starting to get healthy.

Trae Young will finally get to play alongside Alex Sarr today. One thing I’m looking at specifically is how they run the pick and roll. A dynamic playmaker and an athletic big is a great option in today’s game.
It’s been a while since I used this

10 days until the Wizards play again 👀
Kyshawn George said he’s heard comparisons of himself to Jalen Williams and Joe Ingles. The J-Dub one been floating around for a while but the Joe one is new to me. I like it
