Yeah the indie games on steam and the retro community keep me going, there was just something magical about the added “how did they do THAT” factor when hardware was limited
What’s your favourite era of games?
I’m showing my age but I think video games peaked in the early/mid 1990s. Everything just seems incremental now (resolution, polygon count, frame rates, capacity, $). I blame big studios but I concede that the gamers probably do vote with their £

SAM in a CAN 2
I've two big projects underway. The first that I'm currently building up for several people (and have parts for more) is 'SAM in a CAN 2' which is an original SAM Coupe motherboard in a new aluminium case with all my major peripherals incorporated.
The second, for which I just use the codename...
Nice! I was expecting someone to have made a SBC/fpga like they did for the MSX before now :)
Now I think on it perhaps the zx uno has a SAM core 🤔

Main difference is I didn't need to sell any vital organs to own a Dragon 32 ;)
(there doesn't even seem to be any modern/FPGA/etc recreations of the Sam unless you count ZX Next family)
PETZerk WIP game for Commodore PET
WIP - picked up the idea of PETZerk (Bezerk demake) for the Commodore PET but in XC-BASIC instead of C this time around.
Originally I was going to fill the screen but by fitting it into a 20x20 character grid I can also more easily port to Vic 20 with user defined characters 🤓
