I spent a day dabbling with 3D modelling, rigging and skeletal animations. Say hi to my first ever 3D model! I'm proud of him.
Given how daunting I always felt 3D art is, this was shockingly easy.
Wrote about it on my site, too. Not a guide, just my experience: thesiteabout.me/gaming/learn...
If you're getting into shaders in Godot, I've written a 3 part guide where I try to explain things for a beginners perspective:
bun3d.com/tutorials/uv...
#godot #gamedev #godotengine #indiedev
I think good shader tutorials from that perspective are welcome, especially when you're getting to the advanced topics (SDF, Ray-Marching etc.). It's easy to get lost in the maths without actually knowing what you can then do with it after finishing the guide.

I agree. But given that "Christmas" or "Spain" are also allegedly not valid words for NYT editors, but "Phlox" is, I maintain they are full of BS.

Apparently this is "Not in word list". Really fed up with your BS, NYT Games Editors!
Ooh, congratulations!
It is really a low water mark to be at war with the one of the worst regimes on Earth and manage to come away as the callous and undignified party.
Hey gang! I am currently rolling out the first version of GodotSteamKit to sponsors. You can read the full version on either the GodotSteam Steam community or the GodotSteam website news:

godotsteam.com/blog/2026/03...
I see. Not gonna be one of those stupid woke wars the US had previously.
Ooh that is cool!

Late-stage capitalism: things you enjoy aren't valid if you don't make money off them eventually. Everything is a grift, an asset or some form of gambling. I'm so tired of it.
Deplatform! Form your own communities away from the big providers! Take a look at the #IndieWeb and see if you like it.
New updates for my interactive guide about tweens!!!
Very excited about this one because it explains whats the deal with "if tween: tween.kill()"!
There are now 15+ fun pages that covers almost everything you need to truly understand #Godot tweens, for free!

I switched away from Microsoft to Linux a month ago and I never knew my PC could be that fast and snappy. Mind blown how much unnecessary crap Windows does in the background apparently. Genuinely feeling a lot more productive when coding and wouldn't want to go back for anything at the moment.
Didn't modern AC games always show the controls on screen, even if you're on hour 40 without sleeping? I found that a bit annoying in turn, like the game thinks it needs to hold my hand constantly.
What made me stop playing RDR2 after 20h or so. Had a longer break over the summer, came back and had no idea how to do things any more.
Thanks, and you too! Your comics always make me smile. πΈβ€οΈ
Finse is always amazing, and especially when the Polar community comes together like that.
This is Beau. He is a textbook example of a golden retriever. They really will try to be friends with anyone. 13/10 for both (IG: beaugoesoutside)
What it feels like consuming any mainstream media or consumer tech the last two years.
But it makes a handful of people, who already have more money than anyone else, even more money at the stock market!
It's also a great way to not feel instantly overwhelmed when trying to learn something.
Happy birthday, Ted! π

Too many projects at once? A problem I, a neurotypical, certainly never had.
At some point I will do that ABF thing for you, I promise.
Oh they'll know alright. What a stupid Timeline.

Every time I log in to LinkedIn to do the daily puzzles, I briefly get to see what are the most harebrained takes on work or work culture, 95% of the time with shitty AI generated cartoons to "illustrate" the point. Are there any alternatives besides just self-hosting your CV on your own website?
