The Leagues Cup have released the phase 1 fixtures for the #Sounders, which will have Queretaro and Chivas traveling to Lumen Field. The Toluca game will be away at Nemesio Díez Stadium.
How the new Seattle Memorial Stadium construction has been shaping up so far 🏗️
A new state of the art stadium will be built in the former Memorial Stadium’s place, but it’s obviously at the cost of a historic piece of Seattle.
The #Sounders are going into March with a win and a loss in the league so far, and a long stretch of road games plus a Champions Cup game hosted in Spokane is up next.
The Tacoma Defiance opened their 2026 MLS NEXT Pro season with a two-goal comeback against LAFC II within the final ten minutes in regulation. The game ended 2-2, though the Defiance ended up losing on penalties 4-1 and received only one point for the regulation draw.
The #Sounders couldn’t find the answer to break the RSL away curse. Schmetzer wanted to see more from De Rosario, and the team in general struggled with finishing.

It’s the first #Sounders road matchday of the season! Seattle travels to RSL, seeking a first win there since 2012. The Sounders travel to Utah following a 2-0 opening match win against Colorado, and RSL is going into their home opener after losing 1-0 at Vancouver.

Brian Schmetzer confirmed at training this week that Hassani Dotson is not in concussion protocol following concerns after the home opener. However, for Jordan Morris, Schmetzer said that the case is “a bit of bad news,” and the forward will be out four weeks with a quad injury.
In their match, the Whitecaps defeated Costa Rican side C.S. Cartaginés 2-0 in the second leg, ultimately winning on aggregate 2-0.
The #Sounders are set to face Cascadia rivals Vancouver Whitecaps in the 2026 CONCACAF Champions Cup Round of 16. The first leg will be played away on March 12, where the “home” leg on March 18 will be hosted at in Spokane due to the World Cup renovations taking place at Lumen.
Brian Schmetzer said he congratulated Hassani Dotson on scoring his first Sounders goal despite it being disallowed, saying that “there was never a foul on that. I have no idea why it got called back.”
