This work is ongoing, and mistakes will continue to be made.

Each post POTUS Tracker summarizes will make it better at its job and I thank everyone for their support through the process.

The challenge is balance. If the LLM is too skeptical of the language used in a post, the AI will accumulate false positive lies.

It may produce misinformation, questioning the passage of laws and signing of presidential actions.

This was common in testing.

For example, the AI has never called Prime Minister Trudeau “Governor Trudeau."

But it’s not perfect. This morning, it failed to put "illegal protests" in quotes.

It also reiterated, without quotes, that American banks don't operate in Canada.

However, this reliance also creates a challenge. If the source has bias, the AI can sometimes reflect it in the summary.

That’s why a major focus of POTUS Tracker is reducing this bias. And so far, it’s been pretty successful!

🧵 Let's talk about POTUS Tracker and AI.

POTUS Tracker uses a large language model to generate summaries for social media and executive orders.

Summarizing is one of the best uses of LLMs because they rely heavily on the content they’re given, the output is highly accurate.

I've figured out how to access the Truth Social API and will integrate it into @potustracker.us.

During my script stress test, I downloaded every post President Trump has ever made.

For anyone curious POTUS Tracker is “DOGE proof.”

None of the APIs I use are administered by the executive branch.

This was a concern of mine with all of the cuts going on.

It is running on cloudflare’s CDN. The cost comes from the API calls and other overhead for processing the information.

I’ve gotten a lot of generous donations for the site. It’s more of a long term sustainability issue.

These features would incur a monthly cost on my part not a one time fee.

So I’ve done the math and it is impossible to break even on POTUS Tracker if I add in social media monitoring.

I’d rather the feature exist paid than not at all. I’m coming up with the best way to do this.

POTUS Tracker bug fixes and update later today.

- Proclamations will now appear

- Time zone bug fixes

- Longer executive order summaries with more details.
