Currently, Missouri is one of the worst states in the country for women's health. Here, we see higher rates of maternal mortality, infant mortality, and preterm births than the national average.
Like I told the @missouriindependent.com, lawmakers here in Missouri who attack reproductive care are not just restricting our freedom, but also worsening the health care crisis.
We take today to celebrate abolitionist, activist, and icon Harriet Tubman. Her legacy lives on as we continue to build a world where all people are free from injustice.

Trump’s unlawful strikes have already killed thousands in Iran, including civilians and children. Both he and Netanyahu have been enabled to wreak havoc upon the Middle East with complete impunity, and the devastation taking place in Iran right now is the direct result of that impunity.
The President’s illegal war on Iran and his callous disregard for the lives and well-being of the Iranian people are disgusting and abhorrent.
Together, we honored the Ferguson Youth Initiative’s incredible founders and alumni and left feeling ready to keep inspiring the young people of Ferguson and beyond.

I had a great time with @FYIFergYouths last month celebrating 15 years of empowering youth and transforming communities.
I’m running to deliver for everyday people here, and I’m ready to fight for tornado relief, investing in public housing and public transit, and creating a Medicare for All healthcare system.
We have so much work to do, and I’m ready to go back to Congress to do it, just like I have before.
St. Louis came together to help those who were most affected, but the full recovery that needs to happen is far from complete. We need leadership that will fight for the federal funding that is necessary to rebuild after the disaster.
When a tornado came to St. Louis in May, I organized with my community to distribute essential supplies. Homes and businesses were devastated, five lives were lost, and many more were injured.
This is a movement that doesn’t move without you. Over the next five months, we’ll win the representation that St. Louis deserves in Congress, and we’ll do it together.
But this is just one step towards winning and delivering a healthier, safer, and more affordable St. Louis.
Between now and Election Day on August 4th, we’ll build the momentum that we need to win through people power. That means knocking doors, phone banking, and pitching in however else you can.
After we went to Jefferson City to put my name on the ballot, we rallied together with allies from across the state who are fighting for everyday people, protecting our reproductive freedom, and standing up to Donald Trump’s fascist agenda.

It was beautiful to hear from those doing the important work here in the St. Louis area to fight for what workers, our families, and our children deserve.

At the same hospital where I worked as a registered nurse, we came together to demand fair wages and safer working conditions for healthcare workers. I’m proud to stand with NNU as we call out ICE for what it is: one of the country’s top public health threats.
This is exactly what we have come to expect from one of the most corrupt Presidential administrations in US history. Trump and his buddies keep getting richer while the American people suffer.
