I would like to see a future where an AI companion helps me in managing wast amounts of knowledge and which is 100% reliable in term of correctness.
This will be a thing of the future, but we are not there jet. This Gardner hype cycle first needs its valley of disillusionment.
As for creativity it's rather meeehh.
And this is by design. Current AI is a statistic machine which tries to predict the next token out of the median from all the stuff it has seen. This means it only can produce mediocre results.
I try to use them as knowledge aggregators. Which is hard as there are just too many "not quite right" and "simply made up" statements. Like for building permits in another region with a slightly different code. I have to double check every time.
The greatest pain point currently is reliability.

Really, how so? Did it cost you anything? I just got an email where I have the „opportunity“ to buy the medal for 20€ in their web shop. I‘m at place 280 in rowing. Feels like a scam as the challenge terms state that first 2025 finishers „win“ a medal.
