Second part of the cross stitch done! I wish the white showed up better, but I'll deal with it later.

Lucky! We have to wait until after Mother's Day.

A woven wall hanging is hanging o. A white wall. It is made of mint colored yarn. It has light salmon colored tassels. Embroidered onto it is a yellow Joshua tree with blue pom pom ends. Also is a light salmon colored embroidered circular sun in the botttom right corner.

This was my favorite Joshua Tree mini guy that I made when I made the bunch in 2023 🧶

For more than 45 years, my dad has been mad that THE MUPPET MOVIE's "Rainbow Connection" didn't win Best Original Song at the Oscars. (It lost to "It Goes Like It Goes" from NORMA RAE.) I had never seen Kermit's performance from the show -- or Johnny Carson doing a bit with Miss Piggy.

In a scene from the Star Trek episode "Enemy Within," we see the evil doppelganger of Captain Kirk that was created by a transporter malfunction. He is identifiable by scratch marks on his left cheek. He is standing in the Captain's quarters. Behind him, we can see Constantine (the Muppet frog who is considered the Number One criminal in the world, and who is a doppelganger of Kermit save for a prominent mole on his upper right lip) lurking behind the grating.

For many Black women, the Target boycott is not over. It may never be. A faith leader announced the end of a yearlong “Target fast,” but many Black women who helped launch the boycott say the movement wasn’t his to call off.

We spoke to Black women who started the Target boycott & who sustained it for a yr+. They'll likely never go back.

Teacher Laverne Mickens put it like this: “[Black women] will say if & when it’s over. And I can tell you right now: That will be the 15th of never ever.”

Three ceramic beasts, all leaning against each other. They’re about 12” long. They’re very emotive, but have no facial features other than eyes.
