Last year the NGA had an exhibition of Paul Gauguin’s work, which was opened by Prime Minister Albanese. Gaugin was a pedophile rapist with three Native child “brides” in Polynesia. The NGA and Albanese both defending this but apparently the Palestinian flag is a step too far.
We needed Albo to show leadership today. Instead he again retreated when it mattered. Asked about Trump wanting to ethnically cleanse Gaza all we got was more meekness. Instead of simply saying “we will never support ethnic cleaning or forcibly displacement of Palestinians.” 1/2
