RipstopByTheRoll and Seattle fabrics are my go to for technical fabrics. Ripstop has a ton of inventory for buckles, strap adjustors, and the like as well.
Pressing my hand to the screen of my monitor. On it displays a modern version of the windows XP bliss wallpaper (rolling green hills, blue skies)
Touching grass
I really need to start adding alt text to the images I upload
That's so badass!
That was mount looks great!
I made a thing! bsky.app/profile/se.g...
That's super cool, kind of like the old rangefinders but way better tech and accuracy. I used to shoot a lot of medium format and this sounds like a really cool project!
This is a great idea. My wife buys soil pods and if I can just make them for her that will cut down on waiting for them to arrive
That looks pretty solid!
I'll check to see what the monitor arm I have can support, if it's more than 30lb I'll let you know
This looks fantastically Easter themed too. That is really cool filament! What a thoughtful gift :)
Did you model this?
Wall mounting a PC is fantastic and as long as you don't need constant access it's great.
I have a spare dual monitor arm if that will help out at all. Pretty hefty but not sure how heavy the ultra wide is
Shit that's cool! What is the use case?
I love doing a floating liner on the packs I make, I hide all my crimes under it. I'm going to check out the Hong Kong seams. I can do felled fold and french seams but they don't come up too often for what I do and having another method in the bank is always nice! Thank you :)
I don't know why they call it sewing, it should be called pressing and meticulous pinning. Seriously though pressing my fabric has been the single thing that has greatly improved the items I make. And pressing the seams flat for finishing too.
What a good pup! That is a really cool project, how are you finishing the seams? I have seen people press them flat like that but am not familiar with what that's called
Paint* damn it. I should not be allowed near my phone until Tuesday
Pain is one of those things that's a huge pain in the ass to do right, but so worth it and that looks fantastic!
That's so damn cool!!
Ouch, but yeah that makes sense
Nuuuu
What happened?
It's #MakeShitMonday! Lets see your project progress or things you've made. Anything goes!
I printed some brackets and got the synth mounted on the wall.
Show me what you got!
"Raw Dogging" life. I stopped drinking during covid and haven't looked back. It's crazy how something like that can make such a huge difference on outlook, energy, and sleep.
Is he still there? Did he have more?
Dalmore is hard to go wrong with!
The ones on the assembly table that cantilever into place are decent, but are very much designed for clean and level concrete floors with no major expansion joints in the floor and no more than 15mm or 1/2" of change of elevation. As long as those conditions are met they're great.
Best I could find on my phone, but it gets the point across. Everything is on wheels too so I can reposition stuff by myself should I want to move something to a location that makes more sense for the specific task I am taking on or to give more space for larger materials
Oh that's pretty slick using an old loft bed, I bet that's going to be super sturdy!
I ended up moving those tools you mentioned plus a few others to a shelf I built under an assembly table I had build a couple years prior. Saves a lot of space and makes things more accessible. I'll dig up a picture
These don't fit in the drawer of the sewing desk so I mounted them on the side. Accessible, in easy reach, and I won't forget where they are.
I have on my short list to get or build a printer with more build area, but I need to make room in the shop first. It's crowded and I am trying to make space for an industrial sewing machine as well
Hmm, I'll have to try the currants. That sounds absolutely lovely!
