Why doesn't the GOP just pass legislation that says that only registered Republicans can vote? That's what they really want isn't it?

The real problem is that nobody likes to declare war. Instead of granting the power to Congress to declare war, the Constitution should grant it the power to authorize the use of force. That's a much lower bar-- one that even today's self-absorbed Senators and Reps can understand and support.
Trump speaks Gop, a language in which the speaker is free to make up any meaning he wants for otherwise familiar words. It's the language of the GOP.
It will be a never ending struggle-- not just in OR but everywhere.
The super super super rich have limitless resources and they will use them to protect their advantages.
What do they want?
Tax cuts and tax exemptions (just for them)
No regulations on their businesses
No benefits for workers
It's just pure warmongering.
70% of Israelis support the Iran war.
I'm an American citizen. If Israelis expect my continuing support they'd better start working toward peace. Right now that seems to be the last thing on their minds.

I do not doubt that the Nazis murdered 6 million+ Jews during WWII.
I agree that Jews should have a homeland and that they have a right to defend themselves.
BUT-- they need to learn to live in peace with their neighbors. Bombing Iran when there was no immediate threat isn't self defense.

As the article clearly states there was a plan for regime change-- it was just stupendously naive: bomb the hell out of the country from 30,000 feet, kill all of the current leadership, and the Iranian people will rise up and throw off the yoke of their oppressors.
This is exactly what Israel

These 6 facts compromise a good starting point for biblical studies.

Here are some facts about the Bible that I have successfully defended many times against biblical apologists of many backgrounds:
The Bible is chock full of self contradictions, factual errors, false prophecies, and propaganda.
Jesus could not possibly have been the Messiah.

I hate the fact that Laura Loomer and Steve Bannon can just call up the prez any time and get a hearing for their latest crackpot rant.
it easier for Congress to place reasonable limits on executive authority while also preventing creative worsmithing like "Oh it's not rally a WAR-- it's just a limited operation. Don't be so hyperbolic."

The problem with the Constitution's war clause is that no one wants to declare war.
Rather than granting to Congress the power to declare war the Constitution should grant the power to authorize the use of military force (in a given theater for a limited but renewable time).
That would make

"War" does NOT mean that the Department of WAR WAR WAR is actively dropping bombs on our enemy. That's merely an "operation." A war only happens when Congress has so declared it.
"Obliterated" means absolutely completely utterly permanently DESTROYED,

FYI for all MSM reporters & media personages:
The GOP follows the Humpty Dumpty use of language. The meaning of a word is endlessly malleable. A word only means what a GOP speaker wants it to mean at a given moment.
E.g.: "imminent" means extremely likely to occur any time in the next 47

ever going to resolve this?
Every GOP Senator and Representative took an oath of office to uphold and defend the Constitution. But they have shown over and over that they love Trump's EOs far more than they love the Constitution.

The Trumpies have destroyed policies and programs that were fought for by Democrats over the course of decades: Medicaid, SNAP, USAID... And they have repeatedly talked about killing Social Security.
It should be plain by now that the GOP doesn't want anything to do with

The Trumpies have sent ICE agents to cities and states whose citizens predominantly didn't vote for Trump.
They launched a nationwide redistricting war that was designed to tip the 2026 midterm elections in favor of the GOP.
