…was what to do when I had **more** than the bare minimum. I started making decent money (by my standards) in my 20’s, and i had no real understanding of saving for the future, investing, etc..
I was lucky enough in my 30’s that I had a partner that took the time to help me clean up my finances..
Weirdly, I think there’s a germ of truth to this absolutely batshit framing.
I grew up super-poor, and never Ever ever learned anything about managing money past the level of “are the bills covered sufficiently that we can buy groceries”. I learned budgeting in the crib.
