The marketing for the MacBook Neo is so interesting.
The way Apple is explaining the concept of a MacBook, with MacOS on it, to people who've only known iPhones is a real craft.

Flying back home today but have a 7 hour layover at MEX. Any suggestions on how to kill that time?
This take may be lukewarm but the fact that everybody can get a platform now makes platforms pretty useless. We're all special. Nobody's special.
Does anybody actually know why the US government is at war with its own citizens? It seems counterintuitive, counterproductive, immoral, and aimless.
Might go for a run on the beach when we get to Mazunte.
Burn some calories, organize some thoughts.
Just said 'hahaha' to ChatGPT. I'm cooked.
Just got engaged. Very surreal. Happy about it though.
Fun and fast is well put!
I might bring a 50USD 18mm f6.3 bodycap lens for transport and 'emergency wide' situations, but the 50mm should be a fun challenge and should present me with very different work from what I make usually while traveling.
We'll see how it goes. π
Listening to Kendrick Lamar's DAMN album in reverse and playing Geoguessr is a big vibe, if you ask me. Pinch of red whine and I'm zoning.
I'm going XF50mm f2.0 as my only lens for my upcoming Mexico trip. I need a change of pace.
Siri on the iPhone now defaults to opening the App-specific Settings page, instead of the app. Just great.
How much percentage of coverage would we call this? Maybe about 85%? 90?
2025 was probably my worst year so far. Hopefully my worst year ever.
I don't want to give into that negativity.
But also don't want to deminish it.
So I try to take my learnings and distill them in here: mitchellens.ink/dialogue/clo...
I didn't realize Bridge is free. Can it read my LR catalog too?
So it's just the editing of the RAWs you need to pay for (if you use Bridge then PS is the only logical option I guess)
Managing my evergrowing archive of work is an ongoing battle with the costs that come with it.
Currently deleting all monthly exports from the past ten years because I realized my Lightroom catalog provided the access and the RAWs + .XMPs are the actual archive.
How about y'all?
I am drinking all of my calories and I should stop. But I also feel like this is not the time.
I'm about an hour short on sleep on average for the past two years. No wonder I'm tired.
I made a Lightroom Classic preset by feeding ChatGPT my current preset, a bunch of reference images, and copy-pasting the outup into LR CC βs settings.
I think about moving to the US just to drive a bunch of sick cars we donβt get over here
Whoβs familiar with C-Stands with arms and gripheads? Are there any common pitfalls I should avoid?
My goal is to have backdrops as well as lamps be supported by two stands and a crossbar. I need a good height for full-body shots too.
Anybody with ideas they can share?

Suddenly very excited to bring back a vintage Jay-Z vibe into my general life for the upcoming two weeks.
Idea: horse-friendly horse-races, where the horses don't race at all and just hang out together.

I was able to pinpoint the effect of AI on creative work in a 25-week experiment.
Thisβll be the last time I post this essay. So give it a click and a read right now please. I promise itβs worth it.

I'm always looking forward to these because it's like a very long movie you can experience in your head, in real time.
I'm so close to crying on a daily basis.
And I'm not embarrassed.
I'm proud.
I might finally be I tune with who I am.
For those in fear of AI 'taking their jobs' I tell you: be a human that serves humans.

The bigger lesson? Art isnβt just about the image. Itβs about being there, noticing, telling the story. That remains entirely human.
