Explaining “gay” to my kids was one of the easiest conversations I’ve ever had with them. Explaining bigotry was much more difficult… but I still did it because explaining shit is 90% of parenting.
I drive an EV too but we won’t be immune just because we aren’t buying gas. Everything we consume is affected by the cost of oil, including food, electricity, medicines, and other necessities. Just because we aren’t pumping gas doesn’t mean we can shrug this off.
Having a really shit week and worn out from holding it together, and a friend dropped by with my fav iced passionfruit tea and a hug, and it was just the energy boost I needed to get through the rest of this day. 🥰
