There were so many incredible butterflies at my work this past week!
Thousands of little orange ones. I got so many photos of kids holding them or them sitting on people's faces. It was adorable.
The people who beat Capitol Police with metal poles and fire extinguishers and sprayed them with bear spray - and killed people - think that yelling and graffiti aren’t forms of peaceful protest. I am so sick of hearing from them.
Every flashbang could instead be a meal for a poor kid. Every hotel room for a National Guardsman deployed to fire at our neighbors could house a homeless vet. Every "less-than-lethal" bullet pulled from a journalist's eye could be already needed healthcare for anyone else. All of this is a choice.
