Well of course it wasn't - only when it contains 'final for real this time v2 FINAL ACTUAL FINAL' is it the real thing

Un-Sass'ing My CSS: Native CSS Nesting
Nesting was a dream feature in Sass and it's recently become 'native' in CSS.
This post covers syntax, specificity, real patterns, and the key differences you need to know.

No thanks, Apple.
Fuck off, and take your subscription bollocks with you.
You can now build iOS home screen widgets and Live Activities as React components in Expo.
No Xcode target setup. Define your widget with @expo/ui & CNG handles the rest.

That's a fair observation, I just wish that if thematic choice is the reason, then it was more bosses split between raids.
I don't necessarily want another Hyjal + BT scenario again, but it'd be nice if it was maybe 5+ bosses in one main raid, and a minimum of 3 bosses in other raids.
There's 6 bosses, then 1, then 2.
9 bosses over 3 instances.
3 raids, sure, but it feels like "on a technicality", disingenuous even.
Not that I dislike what the expansion will deliver, just... maybe don't promo '3 whole raids'.
This is genuinely the one thing that's stopping me from considering atproto for a social project I had in mind
I feel like I've been living through major anxiety for a couple of months now, so I apologise to anyone who's been waiting on these projects.
I'm taking time to reasses a few things in life right now, and I don't have much spare mental energy to sink into hobby projects.
So, minor project updates:
- The meetup alternative I was building has been on backburner for a while now. No motivation to push ahead with it.
- EAS-on-infra is still in early beta state. I'm working on implementing some security before I 'go public' with it.
Slack patch notes make me unreasonably angry, and I'd literally rather they just say "Misc. bugfixes"
(Actual notes would be best, but apparently nobody deserves to know what's actually changed these days)
Others argue about their 'freedom of speech'. Discord is a private platform owned by a commercial entity. It is not a bastion of free speech.
I'm an advocate of privacy and freedom of speech, but people need to understand that Discord is not an affordance of either.
I've had people try to tell me that it's a 'breach of human rights for Discord to demand your ID'.
You are not forced to use Discord. Discord is not a basic human right. You can refuse their ID request and either not use the platform or accept the restrictions.
Just me still using async-IIFE rather than top-level await?
(I know there's probably technical reasons why TL-await was only available in 'modules', but that's not always a workable option)
yeah this is awesome. anyone not excited about atproto in 2026 is just sour as hell
Assuming we're talking about the 'posters' which were on cardboard, and had black felt for the lines (and you'd colour in between them)?
Oh my god, I literally forgot those were even a thing.
God damnit, I need more core childhood memories unlocking. It's been too damn long.
If Mandelson is being investigated for his Epstein connections, he must also be investigated for his Thiel connections, because they ran a joint fund when Mandelson fixed Starmer's visit to Palantir

Y'know how many times I've been changing colour codes in a live-preview environment, seen the colour change as I type in the 4th digit? So many.
Not once did I ever stop to think "maybe I should look into that more".
Change that last digit to a 5 β #0005 β and youβve got yourself a 50% transparent black on the go.
Folks using this tool are in the 'find out' stage.
Those same folks would happily push platforms out with open databases and buckets because of slop-coding.
Zero sympathy, but I have my fingers crossed that it's a learning experience for them.
Satya recently said (paraphrasing) 'People need to stop calling it slop', and then more recently said 'a lot of people are using Copilot'.
Collectively, I think the entire industry laughed when they heard that.
Got my fingers crossed that it's the start of the end of the slop avalanche.
Yep. After the markets closed on Friday, they've reportedly said they're scaling back (www.xda-developers.com/microsoft-re...).
Financial results showed 66% surge in spending over the last year (lots in AI), with 'only' a 17% increase in revenue (www.ft.com/content/42f8... ). Share price dropped.

Together, our refill community helped save 1333 single use bottles and packaging items in one month by choosing SESI refills.
Comedy is about delivery and timing, and this is just *chef kiss*
(Context: Microsoft said on Friday that they're looking into reassessing their position and whether they should continue investing into AI, and I wouldn't be surprised if others begin to do the same)

A dedicated 'clone window' option would be fine, but it should be handled via an explicit user-generated action - e.g. a right-click / menu option.
The 'window sync' feature is so bad from so many angles that I'm gonna compare it to what Copilot is in Windows and Edge.
