“and render man invulnerable” Another work table, this time with the creature in frame. Victor is sewing up his side, so the creatures chest is visible where I added top surgery scars. The rest of the table is littered with papers, tools, and sewing implements; there’s a bottle in the forefront and loose teeth scattered amongst the other items.

“to any but a violent death.” Victor POV as he straddles and stabs the creature. The knife is punctured through his chest and spurting blood. There are more papers and medical tools all over the flood implying a struggle. Blood pools under the creatures back.

pages 6-7 (the end); as you can tell by the illustrations, I wanted to capture Victors insanity through the clutter I always imagined in his rooms while he built the creature…

pages 3-5, the center illustration folds out into the center of the book, with the fog concealing the bones and body parts at Victors feet at first glance.

“Wealth is but an inferior object;” Victors hand brushing coins and notes off the table, including a bottle of ink now spilling off the side.

“But what glory would attend the discovery…” Birds-eye view of Victor’s table top. There are handwritten notes, medical tools, and a diagram of the human heart present. There’s a long sting of winding thread all across the table.

pages 1-2, all illustrations were done with black Tombow Fudenosuke pens and a grey Tombow brush pen.

Showing off the concertina spine, where the the center page folds out into an illustration spanning 4 pages. You can also see the pages that have been cut to resemble clouds of fog.
