A grid of my top played games for February 2026: Sea Salt and Paper, Three Sisters, Qwixx, Ticket to Ride, Terraforming Mars, Tacta, Regicide, Railroad Ink, Pixies, Outfoxed!, OOdin, Marrakech, King of Tokyo, Just One, Hoot Owl Hoot!, and Gizmos.
I got to play Tacta with six this month; what wild and beautiful chaos!
Also, kinda forgot how great Regicide is. I'm very much looking forward to playing through the legacy sometime.
Did you revisit any old favourites in February?

We also have a way of viewing your group's combined collection for planning games.
@geekpunkt.bsky.social is starting to use us for their BGA community in Germany, and we have a growing number of people using us in Poland!

It really isn't that hard! No one we know likes algorithms deciding what they see, and we do not want to be part of that problem.
A grid showing my played games for January: Don't Let It Die, Dorfromantik, Wingspan, Viticulture, Tacta, Spirit Island, Schotten Totten, Monza, Middle Ages, Iwari, ink, Forest Shuffle, CuBirds, Crusaders: Thy Will Be Done, Cartographers: Heroes, and Cartographers.
Don't Let It Die has quickly become a favourite. I love trying new characters combos so much I don't even care that we lose most of the time!
Did you get to play all your Christmas gifts in January? 😉

Already our sixth release of 2026, we're off to a flying start!
We have completely rebuilt many filters, improving the UX and adding a number of new filter options! Behind the scenes, we've added many of the final parts for our new ticketing system.

FEATURES [Aftergame+] Event hosts can now check-in attendees, marking them present or absent. This can be done both by scanning QR codes or manually in the list of attendees. Attendees now have a screen with their event check-in details and unique QR code. You can now filter event schedules to show events your friends are attending. This should make navigating large events easier to coordinate! You can now filter event schedules by room. We now show the room and table a game or event is in while viewing the schedule. The sorting UX has been improved in game lists and the event schedule. From within a planned game, you can now @mention anyone attending the parent event, not just those within the game. Improved the relevance of games when searching for games using the plan a game or log play game selector. FIXES Fixed some possible bugs where we would not send push notifications to a device if the permission was granted at the OS-level. Fixed an issue where clicking a notification would sometimes load the page multiple times. Fixed a bug where unscheduled games within a parent event would show up even after the parent event ended. Fixed a bug in leaderboards which could lead to odd sorting when sorting by average score or best score. Fixed a bug where the leaderboard preview would not show enough rows. Various other fixes and performance improvements.

Very excited for today's update! Event hosts can now check-in attendees (both via QR code or manually), attendees can filter event schedules by games your friends are in, filter events by room, and much more!
We’ve had a busy start to the new year - lots of little releases in preparation for big things to come! The last four updates brought blocking people, improved game search, enhanced waitlist functionality, a streamlined feed, and more.

It's hard to remember what Aftergame looked like this time last year, so Eric put together a Year in Review. It's cool to see how much we've grown in twelve months, both in scale and capability.
You can find it here: www.aftergame.co/blog/the-202...

Screenshot of a guest player with two plays logged and the QR code button highlighted.
In case you missed it, you can use a QR code to connect a real player with a guest player!
They scan the code and instantly get all the games you've recorded for them added to their account.
Treat yourself to your friend remembering the time you won Spirit Island together!

Screenshot showing a planned game of Sidereal Confluence that doesn't have a date or time set yet.
Enjoy more scheduling flexibility!
You can now plan a game/event without setting a date and time. Create the event to gather interest and once you've found enough people, you can discuss dates in the game/event itself.
Can't wait for my next 9-player game of Sidereal Confluence 😉

Image announces a new release for Aftergame: version 2.12.121 There's some text that reads: Prettier Play Logs Play logs have received a big revamp in your feed! Scheduling Flexibility Not sure when to schedule a game? You can now plan a game or event without having to specify a date! Group Collection When viewing your group's combined collection, you can now filter to a specific set of players. ...and much more! There are two screenshots each showing a play log, Terraforming Mars highlights ranks and Betrayal at House on the Hill shows team results and roles.
Play logs got a glow up! They're prettier in your feed, they show more information, and the players in the log are ordered by rank (when applicable).
Also, to give you some flexibility, plan a game or event without a date.

5x5 grid of games I played this month. From top left to bottom right: Outfoxed!, Vantage, Root, Monza, Middle Ages, Knarr, Wingspan, Viticulture, Unmatched Adventures: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Tokaido, Things in Rings, Terraforming Mars, Tacta, Solstis, Sea Salt & Paper, Schotten Totten, Railroad Ink, Odin, Next Station: London, Jaipur, First Master Cook, Era, Earth, Cartographers, and Backgammon.
I didn't understand until I played it but Things in Rings is mostly vibes and I love it. It was a great after dinner game when I had civilian friends over!
Nothing spooky about this game list but happy Hallowe'en all the same! 👻🎃

Alt text: The picture shows Will Ferrell's character from the movie Talladega Nights with a confident, even cocky looking on his face, sporting a racing jacket. The words on the picture say: "If you ain't first you're last" Last is crossed out and replaced with "second, third, fourth..."
Ranks have arrived! You can also edit the game, expansions, and ruleset in a logged play.
While we're cooking up our next big update, here's a small release that adds many quality of life improvements and fixes to play logs!

A 4x4 grid of my played games for September. From top left to bottom right: Monza, For Sale, CuBirds, Viticulture, The Isle of Cats, The Castles of Burgundy, Terraforming Mars, Tacta, Schotten Totten, Potion Explosion, Patchwork, Odin, The Lost Ruins of Arnak, Heat: Pedal to the Metal, Forest Shuffle: Dartmoor, Farkle.
I'm a little late to the Tacta party but really glad I was invited! It looked sort of messy but was still completely legible. It was like we were collectively creating a Jackson Pollock. 🎨

A 5x5 grid showing the board games I played this month (from top left to bottom right): Tiny Towns, Red Dust Rebellion, Odin, Viticulture, The Guild of Merchant Explorers, The Gruffalo, Terraforming Mars, Space Base, Seas Salt and Paper, Revive, New York Zoo, Kingdomino, Imhotep, Forest Shuffle, Eternetium, Earth, Dorfromantik, Daybreak, CuBirds, Crusaders: Thy Will Be Done, Century: Spice Road, Cartographers, Black Angel, Beyond the Sun, and Astra.
A stand-out for me this month was Crusaders: Thy Will Be Done! It was so smooth, quick to get into, and by gum, I love a gosh darn mancala situation.

A five-by-five grid of board games representing my month in board games: Terraforming Mars, Daybreak, Space Base, Revive, Knarr, Tiny Towns, The Guild of Merchant Explorers, Super Mega Lucky Box, Smallworld, Sea Salt & Paper, Robinson Crusoe, Railroad Ink, Photosynthesis, Patchwork, Paper World, Odin, Now Boarding, Next Staion Tokyo, New York Zoo, My First Stone Age, Lost Cities, Kingdomino, Keyflower, Hanabi, and Hadrian's Wall.
I don't know what I was expecting but Revive surprised me in a great way! I'm enjoying the flow of the game and ready to dive into the campaign. Also, can't believe it took me this long to play Keyflower 😅
