Happy birthday Robby!
It’s December… so here’s the straight truth.
Our primary Discord moderator has slowly taken on more and more of the workload… and they’ll be stepping away soon. We need a few new people to help keep the @ohmyz.sh Discord running smoothly.
If you’ve ever thought “I should get more involved with open source”… this is one of those moments.
Something new is coming from the Planet Argon team.
Introducing Commit Goods, official merch that gives back to open source projects.
Stay tuned for Black Friday sales! commitgoods.com
Decided to support more open source maintainers by running a merch shop for their community. Excited to launch with Ghostty, fzf, Vue.js, Redux, and... of course... Oh My Zsh.
What are you hacking on today?
When’s the last time you experimented with a different font in your terminal?
Drop your favorite below... maybe you’ll inspire someone to try something new (or be inspired yourself).
Your shell deserves nice things. 🌈

You might notice...
- Zero plugins
- Zero themes
- Zero vision for the future.
Yet, nearly 2500 developers showed up to contribute code to what it is today.
You already use Oh My Zsh.
You already believe tools should feel good to use.
Sponsoring isn’t charity. It’s stewardship.

The @ohmyz.sh core team retreat tonight to see an NBA game. Swing by our @github.com Universe booth tomorrow for stickers and smiles.
Are you heading to GitHub Universe in San Francisco next week? Be sure to say hi at our booth on Day 2 in the open source area.

What started as a weekend experiment is now on terminals everywhere.
Check out @robbyonrails.com talk at @squiggleconf.com about how Oh My Zsh grew into something much bigger than expected.

@oppi.li wrote a great post on stacking (and reviewing!) pull requests using #jj-vcs on tangled!
There's a dedicated community for maintainers, maybe whatever you need is covered / documented. Check out maintainers.github.com.

It took a while but I've now seen that Twitter is no longer a sane place. It's full of trolls and hatred, and the algorithm boosts that. Just deactivated my account. #goodriddance
Where have all the tech creators gone?
uBlock Origin Lite is made to support MV3, by the same author. It's not as dynamic but it does the work and I trust gorhill chromewebstore.google.com/detail/ubloc...
I love you, @ohmyz.sh

OK this worked, but only to confirm there were no appointments over time. On the day of their release the system was too saturated.
What worked: going to their office and begging to be let in (good old social engineering).
My partner's been trying for weeks to get an appointment to collect her TIE card.
It's so laughably hard to get one in Spain that people pay 100s for it.
So I finally automated this via #playwright to get notified when there are spots available.
