I love the idea of a recumbent trike (I have balance issues and a hard time riding a standard bike anymore) but transport logistics are a bit complicated and I wouldnβt feel safe on city streets on one.

It's December. The goal is to find MELIA a home for Christmas. We can do this. Over 810 days waiting. Poor baby. A quiet adult only home, no dogs, cats are ok. 3.5 years old, around 50 lbs. Come on New York!

Thank you for running it again this year. I still need to read through and see I have to work with.
So many people I didnβt see in that crowd!
I walked with a couple thousand here and met a couple thousand more at our destination.
Have a great time!

Such a great afternoon at @pocketbooksshop.bsky.social with @writesloud.bsky.social and @mrswhitehouse74.bsky.social in conversation about First Kicking, Then Not.
Entirely relatable strangeness, perfect for our present moment.
It was so nice to meet you today. Thank you for reading and talking about what you do and how you do it.
Iβll be there!
I am also a member of this club.
Unpleasant realization about my writing today: when I write lately, I write until the character needs to take action, and I stop.
Just thinking about it makes me tense. Thinking about adding the next sentence with the action makes me tense.
Neither of these things inspires forward motion.
Help?
Not at all. Though yesterday evening was a bright spot.
A smiling woman with gray bangs in a colorful knit cap and green corduroy jacket.
How happy am I for the last minute decision to throw my #musselburghhat into my knitting bag? π§Ά
Hyundais are surprisingly good at protecting the people inside them. Iβm glad your mother was not badly hurt.
Thanks! And thank you for being my supplier. Took me awhile to get to this project, but itβs perfect for car time.
Chartreuse and light orange garter stitch knitting on a circular knitting cable on beige pants.
I added a second color yesterday, by reaching in the bag and pulling out the first thing I touched. Color changes are determined by a set of personally significant numbers. π§Ά

Thank you!
Six rows of chartreuse garter stitch on a circular needle on beige pants.
Ever since I made the long, colorful scarf for Karl a few years ago, Iβve been thinking of making one of my own. Today it begins. Acres of garter stitch in soft, smooshy yarn is perfect car knitting. #roadtripknitting #roadtrip #michiganorbust
Our regional big ice cream company (Turkey Hill) was giving away free scoops of Moose Tracks across the street from my office at lunchtime today, so I had ice cream at lunch, for charity (scoops given away were tied to corporate donations to the Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay)
Relatable.
Thatβs where I am, too.
Same.
Three hours is not enough sleep before going to work. Spending two hours at the emergency vet to learn that your dog is high does not help.
Who either fed my dog THC-something or dropped it on the street for her to hoover up?!
Today was already not going to be my favorite of the week.
Married in a bookstore.
I went to a talk/reading at a local college last night and I was the only person in a mask. It wasnβt packed, unfortunately, but still!
Iβm not sure it is. How can that possibly be? Happy birthday to the birthday girl!
Iβm thinking about my notebook out in my bag, but Iβm also thinking about going to bed. Itβs been a long week already and itβs only Tuesday.
A nearly finished rainbow striped hat with a circular needle at one end and four wooden double pointed needles at the other, marking where the hat will be ripped back to before being reknit with the proper needle size.
A nearly finished rainbow striped hat with the wrong size circular needle in live stitches.
The beginning of a rainbow striped hat with picked up stitches on four wooden knitting needles indicating the point to which the hat will be ripped back to be reknit on a needle of the correct size.
@lancasteryarnshop.bsky.social TFW you are almost finished but you realize you knit the entire middle section with the wrong size circular. Iβm glad I enjoy watching the stripes pile up. #musselburghhat #frogging #dpnlifeline
I was fourteen when it happened and remember hearing about it on the news (NPR). I have never forgotten about it, but if I hadnβt heard that news story, I donβt know if I would have gotten the information otherwise (certainly didnβt come up in school).
