Erika Sanderson in white tie and tails standing in front of a microphone. Her hair is slicked and side parted. Her eyes look up and out to the audience with a pensive expression, and her hands are held raised slightly in front of her while singing a Victorian ballad.
Had a wonderful weekend as MC and singing some music hall alongside a talented group of young performers for a fundraising event with @unboundtheatre.bsky.social
Looking rather dapper, if I must say!

I'm directing this new show by Jo Pratt. Wonderful to meet the cast and production team last night.
A great start to a powerful play.
Sunday, 4th of October. Celebrating 100 years of the publication of βThese Old Shadesβ.
Thank you! And donβt worry, weβll keep being our marvellous selves! π
Many, many years ago I was nearly cast in a production of Godot, but Beckett and the rights stipulate that a woman can NOT play any of the roles.
We're back! After a short break we're hitting the ground running with a busy week getting the first four project of 2026 underway.
Not only that, we've received delivery of the script books for 'Apple Pips'. If you want to grab a copy they're on sale at Queens Park Arts Centre.

A glass case exhibit titled βDancing with Austenβ. Inside the case can be seen a pair of Regency ladies dancing slippers, a pale blue Regency dress and a Regency gentlemanβs outfit in dark green and blue. In front of the case, Helen Davidge stands as Emma. She has dark hair in curls. She wears a white Regency dress with long white gloves and a necklace with a red jewel. Her arm is linked through with Erika Sandersonβs as Knightley. Erika wears a dark blue Regency tailcoat, with white shirt and cravat, and a green jacquard waistcoat. Her beige trousers are tucked into knee high black and brown riding boots.
Many thanks to the @bodleian.ox.ac.uk for inviting Helen Davidge and myself to perform scenes from Jane Austenβs Emma today.
Weβll be back in October, performing excerpts from Georgette Heyer!
Watch closely and you can see a snippet of me performing βScenes from Emmaβ at the Dress Up Day last summer.
Catch me at the Bodleian Library tomorrow!
Sometimes it feels selfish being an actor, existing for βentertainmentβ when so much of the world is hurting.
Art is important. Creativity is at the heart of humanity and can soothe the soul.
Hereβs a photo of us together at Chawton.
Yes! We've known each other for years, and she asked me to work with her on some dramatic scenes/readings for Austen's 250th anniversary to compliment her historical dance group. They were received well, so we're continuing this year.
She's a wonderful Emma to play opposite.
I had a wonderful summer performing these scenes at various places, including Jane Austen's house at Chawton. It's lovely to be back at it!
Looking forward to donning the Regency outfit this Sunday playing Knightley in selected scenes from Jane Austenβs βEmmaβ at the Bodleian Libraries, Oxford. The 20 minute free performance will be repeated at 12, 1 and 2pm.

Bicester? Milton Keynes? Iβd suggest Aylesbury, but there are some reet dodgy actors round those partsβ¦
The Discord AI survey is quick and simple and (unlike a lot of similar surveys) does actually let you clearly state that you don't want it. Shall we do that?
