A must read showing how much the anti trans positions of the New York Times has been pushed directly from the top.
The New York Times is continuing to push their anti trans agenda.

I noticed a change in the last few weeks in how the NYT describes gender affirming care. They now use the term "gender related care" in their coverage. This term had only been used sparingly (4 times) prior to this year. Now it's becoming ubiquitous in standard coverage.
Confirmation that the New York Times has changed their internal style guide to cease using the term "gender affirming care" and instead use the term "gender related care."
Couldn't find a neo nazi as a source for this?
Introducing a new podcast from trans people called "Fuck the New York Times, Leave Us the Fuck Alone."
If it's a day ending in y, the New York Times is publishing transphobia. They published an essay by notably bigoted transphobe Jesse Singal.
He shouldn't be allowed near the Times for what he's done to the trans community, let alone opine on their healthcare.
There is no one at the New York Times who has done more to spread transphobia and bigotry than Pamela Paul. Good riddance.

This is a horrifying glimpse of just how the New York Times effectively tortured one of its trans editors. Depriving her of a voice while it pushed narratives undermining her very humanity.
Must read article on the bias at the New York Times against trans people.
Another day, another @nytimes.com article about trans people that cites zero trans interviewees or perspectives. Our earlier report with @mmfa.bsky.social showed that a majority of NYT news stories about trans people failed to actually quote any trans people. Read more: glaad.org/the-new-york...
Read more about French's history of over bigotry against trans people in this piece by Molloy. www.readtpa.com/p/david-fren...
As journalist Parker Molloy notes, the disingenous faux sympathy is a lie. He's previously said outright bigoted and unhinged things about trans people. The Times knows this and doesn't care. It's like letting a former Klan member discuss the rights of people of color. bsky.app/profile/park...
The NYT is effectively letting a former hate group attorney get prominent placement advancing key anti-trans arguments. There isn't a counter piece at all nor a piece by a trans person or their families. It's a key feature of editor Kathleen Kingsbury's transpobia in managing the opinion section.

By DAVID FRENCH RHIANNON ADAM FOR THE NEW YORK TIMES
Today, the New York TImes prominently featured a opinion piece by David French advancing the arguments of Tennessee is banning gender affirming care. French didn't disclose he was a prior attorney for ADF, an anti-LGBTQ hate group working to eliminate all of the rights of trans people.
Azeen Ghorayshi has been central in the New York Times efforts to undermine the rights of trans people. Her singular purpose is to soften support among liberal elites to enable passage of anti trans legislation.
It's why her stories are always prominently placed and get push notifications.
The New York Times' transphobia has been happening for over a century. Here's an article from 1901 discussing Murray Hall, a trans member of Tammany Hall.
This was a manufactured doubt campaign by the Times to enable this specific outcome. It was clear this was a priority for the editorial staff. Every one of these stories got prominent placement and push notifications.
Itβs genuinely shocking if youβre remotely familiar with the basic facts of trans care and youth medicine.
It is *profoundly* difficult to access gender-affirming care as a minor and the Times has printed more than a dozen articles implying that it is too easy.
The New York Times provides only the finest journalism dedicated to endangering the lives of trans people.

The funny thing about domain verification is that there are so many top level domains and no company can get them all. Therefore, I got the nytimes.lgbt domain to be able to create an account to criticize them for their transphobic coverage.
