Yeah in theory someone could craft a bot to create multiple accounts, randomizing IP for each. Then have another bot to scan the email accounts and verify the accounts.

I can't disagree with your statement. But we are where we are now requiring age gating on websites/platforms because parents not taking responsibility of doing it on devices. Must kids setup mobile devices themselves with no or little parent supervision or monitoring?

Strange I have heard of forums shutting down because they couldn't comply with the rules. If your forum generates enough traffic you could be in the height of trouble with Ofcom.
Basically yes! Angry at the their choice of age gate provider. The fact their implementation is not robust enough for EU/UK guidelines on it. Is just an additional note. Not really mad at the possible workarounds. But BlueSky could face fines in the UK, because it is not robust enough.
Your reliance on the 'KWS' privacy abusing service is going to be your downfall. You badly need to offer alternative methods.
