Single-tasking in the age of AI

I'm probably a dinosaur but this resonates with my experience and current practice.

STOP LAUNCHING CRAP WE DON'T NEED OR WANT

It's staggeringly depressing how blithely they plan to ruin everything. Everything.

I went to a dark site last week so I could say goodbye to the sky. Took a little hand-held photo and guess what? A satellite trail appeared.

Just stop!

Whether it's a Hillary Clinton staffer asking John Podesta how to make risotto or Elon Musk asking Jeffrey Epstein where he could find a party featuring child sex slaves, there's plenty of embarrassing emails on both sides.

Very clear (and distressing) video of what happened this morning in Minneapolis. ICE attacked and then murdered the victim after he tried to help someone else whom they were knocking down. Maybe now we can stop wondering what American fascism would look like.

The GOP is consistent. When they said state’s rights they meant β€œwhite supremacyβ€œ and when they said β€œtyranny” they were mad about federal interference with white supremacy.

ICE is white supremacist, so they support it. They aren’t hypocritical on this.

Today my pastor of several years was detained by ICE at the lawful demonstration where ICE officers murdered Renee Good.

Three times they taunted and asked him if he's afraid yet. They let him go because he's white, saying, "Well you're white and it wouldn't be any fun."

This is his story:

U.S. Approval of Interracial Marriage at New High of 94% Ninety-four percent of U.S. adults now approve of marriages between Black people and White people. Just 4% approved when Gallup first asked the question in 1958.

TIL that it wasn't until the mid 1990s that more than 50% of Americans approved of interracial marriage. Apparently ~5% still don't.

One definite problem is that (per the UCSD report) many of these kids had As in their (sometimes advanced) math classes. Getting an A in AP Calculus and then not being to solve (3 + x = 5 + 7) is a signal of problems in the system.

Not sure that home vs membership is necessarily the right question. Key is to make it fun, to find a way that you look forward to the exercise. Otherwise it will never stick. So, maybe worth experimenting with a few different gyms / communities, or asking IRL friends who do sports regularly?
