Throwback to a pleinair painting from Japan about a year ago. Pleinair in the snow is an interesting challenge, you can only paint for so long before your fingers and paint freeze.

About a year ago I did two pleinair paintings at Hopkins, I did the day one first to scout the location and came back at night for round 2. Night painting was an interesting challenge but definitely something I want to do more of!

I'm jealous of people with shaped cookie cutters, all of mine are just circles the size of a coffee mug T.T

Throwback to my favorite painting from Greece, can't believe it was a whole year ago! This was some random unnamed church near our hotel, and was the last painting of the trip. A stray cat came by to hang out and watch the sunset which was pretty magical.

Paintings of the same spot in Baltimore in different lighting conditions. I referenced photos I've taken, rather than attempting to paint live. This type of lighting only sticks around for like half an hour.
