I saw GCS perform at the Diamond Head Crater Festival in Honolulu, Hawaii in 1975, after their eponymous album had been released. The hit from that was “Can You Handle It?” Great vibes!

I saw Joe Morello when he gave a drum clinic at an instrument shop in Connecticut, USA sometime in the 1980s. He was old, frail-looking and nearly blind, and had to be led to his drum set, but when he was seated and felt where his drums and cymbals were located, he swung like the master he was.
