The wheels are turning... but very slowly. I attended a couple of the recent Columbus SS4A meetings (safestreetscolumbus.com) and it seemed very promising. The team planning those really knew what they were doing. Now we just need the city to start acting on it.
I was on a panel where we talked about the outreach programs that Bicycle Columbus does and compared them with similar programs by the cycling group in Americus. The general theme was seeing how a "big city" and a "small town" compares. I thought it was very interesting!
