I also remember liking BBC’s “The Space Race” series, especially since it focused more on the Soviet program that other media doesn’t cover much. It’s been a long time since I watched, tho, so not sure if it holds up.
The Apollo 11 move with Tom Hanks is excellent, HBO’s From the Earth to the Moon series is more mixed quality but I still liked a lot of it.
The show is sort of a companion piece to the movie (and does a different perspective for that mission), so ideally watch Apollo 11 first.
All I'm learning from the MacBook Neo is that Apple could be shipping an iPhone that turns into a Mac when you plug it into a monitor, they just choose not to so you buy more of their things
When in [virtual] Rome, do as the [virtual] Romans do
Yep! There’s a PC app from Samsung that works with SteamVR, or you can buy Virtual Desktop on the Play Store for more options and features
My review of Android XR and the Galaxy XR headset is live on @spacebar.news! I have a lot of thoughts.

Gamergate is the Dreyfus Affair of the 21st Century and I don't even know if I'm kidding or not.
Hello, I am a popular “news” social media account. Every post will start with “BREAKING:” and include two images, especially when it’s false information. I am sponsored by a cryptocurrency exchange or “prediction market.”
Star Trek The Next Generation scene. Riker and Geordi, in uniforms red and gold, meet at a Enterprise corridor intersection. Riker is *very* tall. You don't always see it, but here facing and compared to Geordi, sheesh he's a tall drink of water. Anyways, his hair's a bit messy. Closed caption reads, "I'm having trouble waking up."
If Chrome switching to bi-weekly releases wasn't fast enough for you, Visual Studio Code is switching to weekly releases. 🫠

An edited news image with a frustrated Lebron James on a basketball court, next to a screenshot of a Git commit. The title says, "Lebron James reportedly forgot to add the API keys to Gitignore."
Haiku OS is surprisingly fast on my ancient Intel Atom netbook! There are bugs and a lot of missing features, but I do like the design, and it's much snappier than Debian on this PC.
Tumblr post that reads: You would not believe Bill Nye, if ten million Science Guys

howdy, Alice 👋
I am using SSDs or SD cards in all of my retro computers and no one can stop me. The faster I get to SimCity 2000, the better.
The most annoying limitation for the MacBook Neo might be the 256 GB storage. A lot of mainstream macOS apps have huge file sizes, partially because of Universal Binaries. Microsoft Word and Excel are 2.5 GB each on my Mac right now, and Chrome is over 1 GB.
The MacBook Neo seems like a solid computer for $599 (or $499 with the edu discount)!
The 8GB memory looks bad on paper, but I was running VMs and Final Cut on my 8GB M1 Air until replacing it last year with good performance, and the A18 Pro is supposedly faster than an M1.
