I've started working at weightloss again. I put on like 20ish pounds and I need to get back on top of my diet.
Mostly that means subbing lunch for a meal replacement bar (or skipping it entirely) and going for long walks more frequently.
Revolutions start in earnest when those in power forfeit the trappings of a fair system. The moment the GOP go after elections, be that their massive voter suppression bill or attempts to delay or cancel elections, the game is up. Thats when we NEED to explore extra-legal options.
That controller is a piece of art. As such it means more to me than I could ever express. At the end of the day its superb art encased in acrylic with an rpi controlling some buttons and lights. It's functional, and beautiful, and mine. No amount of cruelty can take that feeling away from me.
For a moment, while working on assembling that controller, I forgot about how shit the world was and I was happy. I wish those moments weren't so fleeting. I don't talk about depression often, but when I feel depressed, I retreat back into collecting stuff. It's something that is real and tangible.
I have some black small buttons for the top buttons coming in the mail as well.
So here's all of what I've done to this thing:

- Glorious O-Ring inserts (reduces travel and holds button art in place)
- Mechcables custom USB-C to USB-A cable (still being made)

- Custom foam backing
The games industry will not survive this kind of behavior. Grinding devs into the dirt with crunch, demanding an unreasonably fast & robust content mill, expecting 100m routine players, claiming 20m in sales is a failure and below target... the fuck is wrong with them.

I know people are very sensitive about the use of the word “genocide” but the attempts to medically eliminate trans children is very clearly meets the standard because they are trying to eliminate a population and also they know some of those kids are going to kill themselves

Barring a minor skip on the recap, it takes 23ish seconds to go from reset to check.
Thats 2.6 checks per minute, 156.5 checks per hour.
At that rate to complete 8192 checks it would take roughly 52 hours.
I just wanna add to this with PLEASE RESPECT PRONOUNS.
It's fine for people to accidentally misgender someone and then correct yourself, but I've seen a case of someone repeatedly misgendering someone else, and no amount of correction made them stop.
Once you notice it, you'll always hear it. Every single mainline, the word "insane" gets deeply overused by both comms and runners. There are so so many other words to use that are just as evocative without being offensive or uncaring. I personally just started by subbing in the word "absurd".
I was out with the needless animal violence. It was an interesting premise that just fell apart.
Trans folks as a community, need to start building plans, acquiring and securing places we can dig in, and ensure the means for our continued survival. We clearly can't depend on the political apparatus to protect our interests, and we can't continue to leave ourselves vulnerable to political whims.
I'm so extremely mad at the state of politics. Assholes in the middle are trying to abandon trans folks, trying to write off our suffering as a distraction, while Trumps toadies are actively working to genocide us. They're trying to add a bunch of transphobic bullshit to that voter suppression bill.
If people like Graham Planter don't want to counter-message, that's a fucking problem.
I understand what they're saying, but it's deeply dehumanizing to write off a concentrated campaign, with the end state of genocide, as a "distraction". It gives dems an out to write off our suffering, and to pretend their efforts are a non-issue not worthy of counter-messaging.
Are ya fucking kidding? The trans genocide isn't a distraction for them, it's clearly a priority for them. Tell the trans people in Kansas who had their drivers licenses revoked that their suffering is "just a distraction". Maybe think for a second before you say ignorant shit.
Oh also The Walking Trade is a really fun sim game. Solo dev, shop management in a zombie apocalypse. It's a lovely spin on the regular shop management genre.
Someone remind me, what did Bungie do with Marathon that was awful? I know it was something but I can't think of it off the top of my head.

Can we please call the Proton mail thing what it is: The US government squeezing the Swiss government into squeezing Proton into giving metadata its legally required to both keep and make available to the government as it's a legally operating business.
Proton couldn't help anyone (and would actively be endangering their userbase) if the company was suddenly unable to operate. Thats the kinda shit that goes with ignoring a subpoena. They didn't have a legal leg to stand on, so "just hire some lawyers and fight it" isn't a viable option here.
