Anyone got any sage advice for using #foundry #vtt for gaming at home round a table? Keep seeing all these flat screen digital battle maps but the setup seems really expensive.

I’ve had feedback from my #pf2e players that they don’t feel powerful enough at level 5. It occurs to me that this is because I’ve been putting them up against severe threats for a while. Time to gen a bunch of trivial encounters. Let’s make them feel bad-ass.

My Christmas themed #pf2e adventure continues tonight. The goal is for the players to arrive in tinsel brook, meet their contact, fight some gingerbread golems and have a sleigh ride chase scene. Knowing my players they may well achieve any one of these things.

For the first time ever, it’s a fake tree. I’m sure I’ll get used to it, it’s very high quality. I just miss the pine and resin smell.

The Tree

The Void
This card spells disaster. So we're not sure why it isn't called "disaster" rather than "void".

Your soul is drawn from your body and contained in an object in a place of the DM's choice. One or more powerful beings guard the place.

. How useful that answer will be depends directly on how much you're disrupting the GMs carefully laid plans, so use it wisely.

Vizier
The fates have granted you a free question.

At any time you choose within one year of drawing this card, you can spend 10 minutes in meditation to ask a question of the fates and mentally receive a truthful answer to that question

Till then you can at least justify calling yourself a Lord or Lady now. Gain +1 on society checks to impress nobility.

Throne
You gain a writ of ownership to a small keep somewhere in the long lands. Looks like a side quest waiting to happen. If you ever manage to find it, clear it out of monsters, spend ages upgrading it, and take it over, it'll probably get you a title and maybe a buff somewhere along the line.

Finally, for the next 24 hours gain the might claws of the Vorox. Unarmed or claw attacks do an extra 1d4 poison damage during this time.

Talons
You gain 4 talons, worth a firebird in total. Unfortunately you can only spend these in a different campaign setting so they're totally useless.

Gain Lore (Jump Key Technology). Again. Totally useless.

Sun
You gain a pair of Sun Goggles which appear in your hands. Dang, you look snazzy in them. Gain a +1 bonus to diplomacy or perform checks to impress someone whilst wearing your snazzy sungoggles.
