Well, the Rhysling jury is done doing their bit, and I'm delighted to say I have two poems in contention in the Long category this year!!! Thank you to all who nominated, and congrats to all on the list!
So, I was on Speculative Sundays this past weekend, and it's now on YouTube: www.youtube.com/watch?v=v8t0...
Akua, the host, asked me where my dragon love comes from.
. . . Anne McCaffrey's Pern. I was ALL about unicorns till I read the Harper trilogy at 11 or 12. It's been dragons ever since.
I've been told that there aren't any tickets available for my reading on the first! It will ALSO be live on Facebook: via Zoom @akulaezlihope
Just as a reminder, a Speculative Sundays poetry reading series begins tomorrow, and I get to kick off the month! www.eventbrite.com/e/starburst-...

Anyone got any favorites they'd like me to add to my lineup? LOL

Oh. My. God. What an intro. How am I supposed to wait till tomorrow for part 2??
I don't want to spoil it. JUST PLAY THIS GAME.
It's on Steam. Go get it. I'll wait.
And you discover the entire history of the past century and a half has been subject to previous revisions tied to dark matter physics, religion, and more.
I think I am about halfway through, given my progress through the achievements and the urgency of the narrative at the moment.

So, partially, I was awake all night because sick, and partially, my own fault, because Inkle, the makers of Heaven's Vault, which is in my list of top 3 games ever, came out with a little 7 dollar game earlier this year, and it's been sitting in my library, and god. damn. they've done it again.

Delighted to be able to announce this at last! <3
Congratulations to our authors and artists on their @bsfa.bsky.social longlist 2026! @jennicoutts.bsky.social @lyndseycroal.bsky.social @madeehahwrites.bsky.social @deborahldavitt.com Ivano Sassanelli, Jay Johnstone, Payton McCarty-Simas! @publishingscotland.bsky.social π€© And to all the nominees!
Have to admit, I'm very curious as to where this one is going. The first section, regarding robots creating new iterations of themselves inside a closed facility on Earth, seems to have had *no* relationship to the rest of the story, so I am *wildly* curious as to how this will come back around.
OOOOH. This is a first! I am ON THIS LIST!
