Itβs a good list.
Itβs a good list.
I'm struggling to explain to non-fans how 'they found two missing episodes' feels. I think it might genuinely be a whole human emotion only accessible to Dr Who fans, like we're deep sea fish who can smell magnets.
The full recreation of "Mission to the Unknown" is up on YouTube, and I'm going to be watching it a couple of days before the rediscovered episodes of "Masterplan" hit iPlayer. It's quite brilliant. Edward De Souza introduces it as well, which is a lovely bonus. www.youtube.com/watch?v=NW8y...
Toby Hadoke on BBC Breakfast. Red sofa. Blue-tinted photo of a Dalek in the background. (13.03.26)
Utmost admiration for @tobyhadoke.bsky.socialβs self-restraint in the face of the βwhat else is missing?β question. Iβd probably still be reeling things off while one of the Breakfast team forcibly bundled me into a taxiβ¦ π«’
How can I celebrate the joyous news re Masterplan ?!
I've made a donation to Film Is Fabulous to aid and support the work they do :)

Bravo Ambassador Hadoke, you were splendid!
A CG Set recreation of the studio layout of The Nightmare Begins. It shows a jungle set, the TARDIS interior set, the Earth Communications room and a room in the Dalek city.
Hadn't planned to post this today, but, y'know...

Suppose I better try and sleep now. Our very own Toby Hadoke will be appearing on BBC Breakfast at 7.50am folks - see you bright and early...

Naturally, I find the link I'd been hunting all of ten seconds after posing the question. As you were.

Don't *think* I'm imagining things, but isn't that @kjd42.bsky.social providing technical support at 1:30?
Quick! What kind of scientist would you want to be?
Basically, "withdrawn, deaccessioned and monked".
I still find it *virtually impossible* to read these words and not think with immense fondness of the Voice that projected them so deftly across the airwaves in the first place.

βThere is yet a third theory which suggests that both of the first two theories were concocted by a wily editor of βThe Hitch-Hikerβs Guide to the Galaxyβ in order to increase the level of universal uncertainty and paranoia and so boost the sales of the guideβ¦β
Critical thinking is under serious threat from large language models/AI. Uni administrators are too prone to accept tech hype! (plus it can be wrong, steals IP, has devasting environment/energy impacts). @jessicacalarco.com made a great one-pager I share with students (plus effective model of comms)
Thanks for sharing Katy, both very moving. π₯²

The BBC WAC Campaign's full submission to the Government's Charter Review is now online. We argue that policy changes at the Written Archives Centre fly in the face of the values at the heart of the Green Paper: trust, transparency, and the telling of stories. Read here: tinyurl.com/CharterSubmi...
Those darned pre-Hartnell Doctors just keep on coming, eh?

Of course - maybe better to say Iβve always enjoyed the possibility, however slim!

Thanks, and particularly appreciation for footnote 1 from an ardent fan of the three syllable variant! βΊοΈ
Still curious whether Potterβs βblossomest blossomβ was actively inspired by Robert Slomanβs βdaisiest daisyβ from a couple of decades prior.
Though Iβve now learnt the earlier usage could well be an allusion to 19th Century US slang. Daisy of a line either way.

The BBCβs job is to βinform, educate, and entertainβ? Letβs talk about the middle word.
What follows is the story of what we found in an FOI request (per the Observer) about the Corporation killing off plans to launch an online catalogue and failing to deliver βlearning for people of all agesβ. π§΅
