My "finished project chair" is getting full so I suppose it is as good of a time to share as any. The pair of toads are from February and all the rest are from December and January. All patterns came from Etsy.

It has been hard to celebrate beauty and joy lately (*gestures broadly at the state of things*), but I could not resist appreciating this little cluster of immature pine cones. I love this beautiful world so much, even when human things get scary.

I wish I could have sat in the woods all day today. It was so beautiful and peaceful.

I walked 12.1 miles in total last week. More important than the number, though, I experienced wondrous joy. Ponderosa pine bark smells like warm caramel. Prairie lizards show some of the same territorial gestures as bearded dragons. Curlycup gumweed has historical medicinal uses.

As I sat outside on my deck, listening to the clicking katydids, I felt only gratitude. Not everyday is so peaceful but I am just so glad to be here.
