A third of our population is hopelessly brainwashed by right wing propaganda, and religion . They live their lives based on fear, and hatred, that they learned from those things. Fearing and hating everything,and everybody, who isn't just like you've been told to be, is no way to live .

Yes, it has something to do with our politics - owned by billionaires who divide us so that we cannot rise up against them. This is a plutocracy. It’s a masterful design. A broken two party system split right down the middle where your party is good and the other is evil.
I think the anger has a lot to do with the fact that all non wealthy American adults walks around with some sense of impending doom waiting for a hospital stay to make them homeless. Or a job loss to make them homeless. Or having a job and still being homeless. We are in constant fear.
Shitler succeeded in:
Elevating a more extreme hardliner as leader of Iran,
Killing/wounding American troops & hundreds of civilians,
Destabilizing the entire Middle East,
Wasting billions of taxpayer $
Driving up the cost of gas at the pump&
Putting a target on all Americans and their allies.
This is how our government has been corrupted:
1) Donors give huge sums to elect politicians
2) Elected officials rewrite rules in donors' favor
3) Donors make huge profit
4) Repeat
We must get big money out of politics. It’s the root of all evil in Washington.
Citizens United did *not* do this with respect to individual donor giving (billionaires). The culprit is Buckley v. Valeo (1976).
