There was some okr talk!
Have "Guards! Guards!" on hold at the library, excited to read it!
Kids rock climbing wall with an ocean mural background.
Kids rock climbing wall with an ocean mural background without holds installed.
Bare 4 feet by 4 feet plywood boards with holes drilled in a triangle pattern for climbing holds to install into.
I started climbing again earlier this year, and our girls absolutely love it, so we just built a rock wall at home!
Was a fun weekend project and the inspectors said we did a great job π
Hardest part was drilling the ~150 holes per board for the t-nuts.
Congrats! Looking forward to some great blog posts π
Ooh nice! Would love to see how your implementing it. Reusing any of your Gleam code or is it something new?
Dude, this is looking so sick π₯
I've really appreciated your devlogs and games, so that's sad to hear. I hope whatever projects you work on next are revitalizing and go well!
I also forgot until your reply haha don't feel pressured to play it though. Definitely a great game but not one everyone has to play
Think we've had this conversation before π it didn't click for me until the 3rd boss, but I played HK before any fromsoft game, so not sure how it'd be going the other way.
And Silksong π
You gotta report back how those games go with your daughter!
Been trying to find some good storytelling/rpg/etc games since our 5yo is loving board games so much. Outfoxed, story time chess, and forbidden island (with some more help) have been hits
So sorry to hear that!
Updated the simulation to use a quadtree for a nice bump in performance!
Been a bit addicting tweaking the attraction values and seeing what shapes come out π¦
Brave! Has some features I liked from Arc (and Iβve made some browser extensions to replicate some others like copy current url to clipboard). Not totally in love with it, but itβs working well enough.
Congrats and congrats π
π fellow Kitsap-ian. We adopted two kittens from Ziggy's last year and had a great experience: ziggyscatlounge.com. They work with a shelter in Belfair.
I made a Vite site with the exercises from reading Nature of Code and from the tangents I'm going off on nature-of-code-exercises-cl.vercel.app
Big shoutout to @shiffman.lol for writing an amazing book (and coding train). This has been the most fun I've had coding in a while!
Been having a ton of fun working on a p5 implementation of particle life.
Focus today was on performance and was able to 10x the number of particles it can render w/o dropping frames.
Going to keep experimenting with behavior and fix some issues like the clustering
only three year old todo comments buried deep in your codebase
Such a good game, was my first FromSoft game
Been reading Nature of Code by @shiffman.lol and having a ton of fun going down the rabbit hole of particle-based simulations and evolutionary algorithms: www.youtube.com/watch?v=p4Yi....
This looks so nice! Been using the latest Musescore recently and itβs cool to see audacity have a similar redesign
We're actively hiring at knock.app: jobs.ashbyhq.com/knock/1a786f...
Going to be joined by @connorlindsey.dev tomorrow on stream!
Let's see if we can get units and a turn system added to the game engine. π€
Thanks so much! Will dm you π
Great write up and awesome to see how much you accomplished this year. Can't wait to see what you build next year man!
