My knees are weather veins, I swear.
My knees are weather veins, I swear.
You can pay by credit card, but you have to use an outside provider for reasons I have yet to understand.
I'm not claiming to have ME/CFS, but I have to say that the weather shifts--and how much my CP body hates them--can sometimes make me feel like I'm bordering on a chronic fatigue diagnosis.
For what it's worth, I use Good Tape and Otter, depending on the day. Good Tape has a better data security record (they don't train on your recordings, for example) but sometimes struggles with recordings that don't have the best audio.

Hi Ziya, only vaguely related, but would love to help build out your disability coverage if that's ever of interest! Normally I would email, but figured this would be faster and easier!
Can you put me on whatever pr list you're maintaining. Love covering this sort of stuff when I can as a disabled journalist when that intersection shows up.
This is not me begging for a review copy, I promise I'm not, I'm just having a day where I could really use @sesmith.lol's book being published earlier.
Thanks!
Can I also be added to this email chain (former freelancer there)
I know I owe you an email but if you have capacity, absolutely hire Rainesford for this :)

Haha, I'm working away on some editing stuff as my brain fog slowly dissipates. Same to you (and I'm sure we can both commiserate over the cold as I'm in a very frigid Saskatoon today)
In the same boat (disability pain instead of virus) and my goodness is it not a good week to have too much time on my hands.
Have you followed Tiny Kindnesses on Threads (literally the only account I seek out on there) because it's an entire account dedicated to this stuff!
One of the hardest things about being in severe pain, and one of the aspects I really don't like, is it how it can so easily rob you of your kindness.
I do my best and also it is a difficult thing to reconcile.
I really appreciated this piece about disability representation in the show. www.cbc.ca/news/canada/...
And extra excited to see @xtramagazine.com honoured in the Outstanding Independent Journalism category, a testament to all of the great work this team does

Congrats on this (richly deserved) nomination!
If it's more than half a second, I'll be surprised.
Haha, I should have known the bottleneck would have been logistics.
NEIL, NOOOOOOOO
I love my job, I just sent a pitch email talking about fake balls.
If you have time to doom scroll, you have time to read books!
Feels slightly weird to say about a book surrounding grief but I'm looking forward to reading it
oh noooooo
Or the far more dire journalistic option, saying you wanted to deal with the PR department of the Government of Canada.
That would be a fun round up if I ever felt safe in the US again enough to go to CES: What percentage (spoiler alert, it's close to zero) of the accessibility gadgets at CES have any hope of working
I watched an MKBHD-related YouTube video recently (on the Studio Channel) about a CES in the last couple years and my main takeaway is, "Huh, I wonder what will actually come to market"
@desibility.bsky.social a) I owe you an email, B) The Debrief is also mentioned in the piece.
