I am also curious why journals are not included. Especially in SE (and maybe also more in Europe than the US), people started publishing more in journals with the JF option at ICSE, FSE, etc
I wonder how this index would change if you work at the intersection of multiple fields. I can only guess that it would increase the index
We need super-quadratic speedups for practical #QuantumComputing; the clock rate after error correction will be orders of magnitude slower than classical computers.
Grover-like algorithms cannot be practical; algorithm breakthroughs needed! 🤖💻

Nils Japke just had his paper "μOpTime: Statically Reducing the Execution Time of Microbenchmark Suites Using Stability Metrics" accepted in @acm.org TOSEM. Yeah, great job 👏🎉🎊 (with M. Grambow and D. Bermbach; @simularesearch.bsky.social, @tuberlin.bsky.social)

Here is the arXiv version: doi.org/10.1109/TSE....
And here the TSE version: doi.org/10.1109/TSE....
Very cool. I have been thinking about the energy impact of testing for a while. While not energy but performance, we had a TSE paper a while ago where we considered performance indicators when generating EvoSuite tests. This might be of interest to you as well
Noah Oldfield just had his first PhD paper "Faster and Better Quantum Software Testing through Specification Reduction and Projective Measurements" accepted in ACM TOSEM. Wuhu, very well done 🙌🎉💪🔥 (with @shukat-ali.bsky.social and Tao, @simularesearch.bsky.social)

This is figure 4, which shows a schematic depiction of the “stack-and-pad” approach for the features extracted per whisky sample for each molecule detected.
Two machine learning algorithms can determine whether a whisky is of American or Scotch origin and identify its strongest aromas, according to research in Communications Chemistry. https://go.nature.com/3DpO8nl 🧪
I get the all in one place argument. Hopefully the one place is always kept up to date.
That sounds like a great idea, if you have the stamina to keep it up to date. That is, I would say, the beauty of dblp/Google Scholar that you do not (necessarily) have to put in effort. My impression is that personal websites are often slightly outdated or contain broken links.
Isn't that what @orcid.org is now for?
1 and 2 is not really an issue for me: we put a preprint on arXiv, and it gets indexed by dblp and Google Scholar
I understand that for contact details. But for publications, why is DBLP, Google Scholar, or @orcid.bsky.social not sufficient? I feel like we keep maintaining way too many publication lists
Scientists, academics, researchers: We’re excited to share that @altmetric.com is now tracking mentions of your research on Bluesky! 🧪
Same here. In all fairness, the collaboration tools (comments and change tracking) are great
Where have the great days gone when we had papers on GH and used local editors?
Just dropping this here for no political reason whatsoever:
"European Alternatives is a project that collects and analyzes European alternatives to digital services and products, such as cloud services and SaaS products."

There is a neat Chrome extension. Be aware of wrong matches though. chromewebstore.google.com/detail/sky-f...
This is interesting. Thank you for sharing. Does this mean that all papers that used LLMs and Defects4j in their evaluation are (potentially) wrong? Your discussion is quite diplomatic. Are there numbers for how many papers could be affected?
You can also create links to your Bluesky account when you have a custom handle; mine is bsky.app/profile/chri... (I have the same post on X as you :) ). Also the Bluesky search finds accounts with custom handles.
What are the reasons for and benefits of claiming your handle on bsky.social than just having your domain as a handle?
