One answer is that I’m a musical and philosophical person. A person who loves art for its own sake. It brings me joy to make music, and I think I've earned the right to some joy. I can't be a full time cautionary tale and symbol of injustice! So I hope this brings you joy, too.
It's also about the hollowness of having an identity formed around what you didn’t do. Who am I, beyond innocent? Beyond “not what they say I am”? That’s an existential question I’ve been grappling with since my exoneration.
Afterwards, music helped me process and make meaning of the absurd and traumatic events that took over my life. This music video is a meditation on memory, identity, and the surreal experience of being judged through other people’s stories about who you are.
In prison, the chaplain Don Saulo, who became my best friend, taught me to play piano in his office. I had to practice my fingering on a paper keyboard in my cell. That helped me stay sane and survive those four years.

I'm eager for you to hear what I've learned, not just about Lucy, but about the UK's healthcare system, about its courts, and about how narratives take shape and affect the course of justice.
I've not commented publicly on her case because I believe in doing rigorous research, examining all the evidence, and talking to experts, which I've been doing for the last two years.
I began seriously looking into the case of Lucy Letby in early 2024, and I was shocked to learn what evidence was used to convict her. In any case, the public narrative around her was loud and clear: Lucy Letby was a cold-blooded psychopath.
