I've never met an immigrant
This is so fragile and we will see a lot of intentional harm. Remember that cruelty is the point in those moments. We will also see unintentional harm. Systems collapse under pressure, and the pressure is coming. We have to take care of each other, and protect the exposed and targeted.
I am struggling. I feel trapped by what I've given up. I've always understood, in part, the phrase "look what they've taken from you" as a reference to the agency and capability we've lost. On the whole, we can't feed ourselves. Perform basic first aid. Create shelter. We've outsourced our lives.
