- Since Forte is written in PHP, wouldn't it make sense to have the Chisel in PHP, too?
- Could Laravel make use of Forte for the Blade engine itself to replace the current compiler?

I probably wouldn't change much. Start with web technologies, as they're easy to learn: HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Then, learn a backend language. Nowadays, I might stick with JavaScript for the backend. However, I would replace the book with some online courses. 😅
