Gas prices are rising because of Donald Trump’s war, and he’s telling us that he couldn’t care less.
Trump’s trade war has delivered nothing but higher prices and a whirlwind of problems for small businesses like Wisconsin Knitwear in Milwaukee. I heard firsthand how they’re trying to navigate these challenges. Bottom line is: It’s time for Trump to stop this chaos.
President Trump has chosen – yes, chosen – to fund his war instead of lowering the cost of your health care, groceries, and gas.
Kristi Noem deserved to be fired, but the damage she’s caused cannot be undone.
Alex Pretti and Renee Good cannot be brought back, and ICE still needs to be reined in. I will keep fighting for accountability and commonsense guardrails that protect Americans.
Gas prices have skyrocketed thanks to Trump’s war that Americans didn’t ask for.
Wisconsinites don’t want a “forever” war, and they don’t want to pay more at the gas pump. This is a lose-lose situation for the American people.
And the president has no plan to end this chaos.
I just voted to stop the war in Iran.
Our firefighters don’t think about a political party when they’re running into harm’s way to keep our families safe. Delivering the resources they need to continue their lifesaving work is never a partisan issue for me.

Another promise broken by this president.
When Wisconsinites ask for help, I’ll work with anyone to deliver it. I’m proud to have worked closely with communities across our state to help them support Wisconsin families, small businesses, and first responders.
Four American service members have died already since Trump started this war. My heart is heavy for their families & loved ones.
And the President’s response? He said more troops are “likely” to die & that’s just the “way it is.”
He’s wrong. We never have to accept that.
It will be Americans who will pay for Trump’s war.
Taxpayers will foot the bill.
Wisconsin sons and daughters will be in combat.
Mothers and fathers will have to grieve the loss of their loved ones from Trump’s war.
Americans deserve better.
The President can’t just start wars on a whim — Congress has to sign off on it.
Let’s get back to DC and vote on this reckless war.

I have always said I will work with anyone to get things done for Wisconsin. And today, I’m excited to be celebrating with Rep. Tony Wied our work to bring home $5 million for a new fire station for Green Bay so they have what they need to keep Wisconsin families safe.
Trump’s illegal tariffs are hurting our Made in Wisconsin manufacturers and economy. How many more businesses have to close before the president finally listens and follows the law?
I don’t support raising the cost of your groceries, cars, and furniture. But apparently, this president is hellbent on doing that — even after the Supreme Court ruled against his illegal tariffs.
No war with Iran.

The President has been illegally raising the price of your groceries for over a year, and now he’s doubling down on his disastrous trade war. This only sends the message that he is not focused or even trying to lower your costs.
Wisconsinites want relief from this administration's chaos and relief from high costs. Sadly, tonight, the president doubled down on his unaffordable and unpopular agenda, ignoring families’ reality and leaving Wisconsinites with more questions than answers.
In tonight’s State of the Union address, I hope President Trump has answers for the American people.
Real answers on why he has yet to lower their costs, or why he is focused on more foreign wars, or even about his relationship with Epstein. He owes it to the American people.
This is just part of the Trump administration’s plan to abolish the Department of Education, threatening to delay or cut off the support that local schools and students rely on. Just disgraceful.
The month of Ramadan brings a peaceful time of reflection and the spirit giving back, and I’m glad to see Wisconsinites doing just that. I’m wishing our Muslim community in Wisconsin a month filled with peace, renewal, and community.

NeighborWorks in Beloit is helping folks who are in a tough place find a safe, affordable place to live. I was happy to be in Beloit to see firsthand the incredible work they’re doing.
In 2023 and 2024 combined, there were only 2 Wisconsin farm bankruptcies.
In 2025, that number skyrocketed to 16.
If we want to continue to be America’s Dairyland, we have to stop this — and that starts with Donald Trump ending this reckless trade war.
The cost of rent, or if you are lucky, to buy, is crushing families. And part of the problem is Wall Street investors buying up Wisconsin homes. I've always said that I'll stand up to President Trump where I have to, and work with him where I can — and on this, let's get to work.
