YOU'RE ALL GOING IN MY REPORT

It's so irresponsible toward both the authors and the audience to put these feelings-dumps out into the world as if they were finished products, in particular when abuse is involved.

This feels like part of a larger trend of publishers publishing memoirs that are really half-baked, where the author clearly doesn't have enough distance from the events to have the kind of insight that would make a good memoir, but is just dumping a mess of unprocessed emotions onto the page.

I was reading one the other day from a lady who said she was yelling at her dog to stop doing something while on a call and the summary recorded it as her yelling at her boss and recommended "conflict deescalation" training 🤪

Bodycam is a horror movie about cops who shoot people and try to cover it up, and the villain is a demon summoned by the drug users who the cops shot. No pun intended, but what a misfire.

Also look, it's one thing to get your boyfriend to help you with a translation or have him answer a work email on a bad day, but I'm starting to hear reports that people are "dating" their boyfriends??? This can't end well

I know it's a silly jokey joke, but people REALLY need to stop anthropomorphizing their boyfriends. "My boyfriend told me" your boyfriend didn't "tell" you anything. "My boyfriend thinks..." your boyfriend can't actually think or feel; just output a convincing simulation of it based on probability 🙄

Meanwhile Mel is used to being picked on/treated as a bother because of her neurodivergence so she compensates by being as sweet and helpful as possible. Now both of them are reaching the limits of their respective approaches and crashing out.

Santos thinks she's a pariah because of the Langdon thing, and I don't doubt there's been some coldness, but I also think she's quick to assume the worst and lashes out pre-emptively before anyone has a chance to hurt her.
