Whatever world changing events we have planned for the week ahead. Iβm just suggesting we keep enough of a lid on things to allow them another match next week. Thanks a bunch.
But today I helped a bunch of 8 year olds play their first proper football game, on a frozen pitch, in an isolated (beautiful) village in the middle of Hampshire.
Not really been online for a while (again). At least not posting. Just occasionally reading and wondering where anything I could make would fit.
'Switzerland in Winter.' John Lavery visited the fashionable resort of Wengen in Switzerland in 1912-13 producing mountain landscapes which favourably compare with John Singer Sargent's alpine scenes of the period.

Oh my itβs been an intense few weeks. Capped off with an actual table thing yesterdayβ¦ been a whileβ¦ forgot how exhausting all the prep would be. Still good to see actual human beans. And the remaining arty things are ready for next weekendβs open studio π
Love #illustration?
Love cool stuff?
Love sticking art on your wall to make your guests jealous?
Love supporting an indie creator that is so non-AI that they still draw in pencil & ink?

Monte Fitz Roy is a mountain in Patagonia, on the border between Argentina and Chile. It is located in the Southern Patagonian Ice Field, near El ChaltΓ©n village and Viedma Lake. It was first climbed in 1952 by French alpinists Lionel Terray and Guido Magnone.
This is my original acrylic and ink painting of the Fitz Roy peak, completed on a 30 x 30 cm canvas and presented in a floater frame.
I enjoyed creating contrast between the soft pastel colours of the sky with the strong earthy reds and oranges.
The painting became a little abstract with the additional pen detail... drawn over the paint surface to create definition and shape.

If you're into the 1920s/30s and art depicting common people's lives and night scenes of New York, you'll love the art Martin Lewis (1881 β 1962) made.
