This man is fucking insane and in charge of the world’s most dangerous company.
This man is fucking insane and in charge of the world’s most dangerous company.
Turning the world over to madmen. That is what is happening. Madmen.
It's instructive to view this Karp sound bite alongside Rep. Andy Ogles's recent tweet calling pluralism "a lie."
The folks in power right now want a white, Christian nation that excels at killing people. That's their vision for the U.S.
Op-Ed by Scott Millar: "Rhode Island needs more housing. But how we get there matters. Growth has limits, and development must respect constraints, especially when it comes to preserving clean drinking water." buff.ly/ShS3q6d
As always, @hcrichardson.bsky.social has the concise, clear-eyed time capsule. He’s just gonna bungle Iran and lie his way through it as the body count and oil
prices go up. heathercoxrichardson.substack.com/p/march-11-2...
I keep seeing people ask about the 25th Amendment.
Guys. His entire Cabinet is walking around in shoes that don’t fit because they’re scared to take them off.
The 25th is never happening.
$11.3 billion could cover any of the following for a full year:
-1.4 million people on Medicaid
-19 million kids getting free school lunches
-1.4 million people getting affordable housing
-1.1 million hungry seniors fed
-0.8 million children given free child care
Big part of my deal is reminding liberals our media habits are very different from the average non political person. And I don’t mean that in a value judgement way, I watch garbage tv too. But it means people simply aren’t aware of 99.9% of the stuff we think is “everywhere.”
Legitimately every time some bloodthirsty ghouls start advocating for another cruel and useless war, everyone with a conscience should say no and demand at least this much money be used for social services thanks to the savings.
Just fully detached from reality here.
In the last 24 hours, Iran has:
- Struck three ships trying to cross the Strait of Hormuz, disabling a Thai cargo ship
- Blown up a large oil storage facility in Oman
- Struck two oil tankers at harbor in Iraq, setting both ablaze.
- Blown up oil storage tanks next to Bahrain’s main airport
Sigh. Both Reed and Whitehouse.
I think they both somehow have not adjusted their brains to 2026. Like, it’s 2006 to them and we can just be polite to GOP colleagues and wait our turn for power again.
“It would be near impossible to preserve Hicks Farm without the money from DEM,” according to Tiverton Land Trust president. The money the land trust received in a grant last month was funded by one of the state’s Green Bonds, a program left out of Gov. McKee's budget this year. buff.ly/ypd6SKE
Warfighters can't use just any flute.
The bottom line is Trump sacrificed 8 American lives (& counting) and more than 1,000 Iranian lives (& counting) for nothing. He hurt the US & global economies, destabilized the Middle East, & will pull out with the same Iranian regime in power. There's no silver lining.
A senseless, criminal waste
Columnist @frankcarini.bsky.social writes we're "eating on borrowed time." To buffer against climate change, we need to grow more local food for the region's 12M people. But that's going to require more farmland, which is costly and quickly disappearing. buff.ly/gmOtl1w
A picture of Marco Rubio shoes that are too large for him
I’m a grown man who works for the president of the United States who is afraid to not wear the shoes he bought me that do not fit
Trump Open to Khamenei Being Killed if Iran’s Leader Doesn’t Cede to U.S. Demands Hits on critical infrastructure were exchanged, with Israeli strikes on Iranian fuel-storage complexes lighting up the Tehran skyline.
What a wild headline.
"Trump open to Khamenei being killed if he doesn't cede to U.S. demands"
Who's ordering the killing? And we just do assassinations bow?
This reads like a Mafia hit. Gross, embarrassing, and, ofc, dangerous.

Mission accomplished
Since Rep. Andy Ogles is back in the news for the typically bigoted, boneheaded reasons, it's another opportunity to point out that he once raised $25K to open a cemetery for miscarried babies. He then ditched the idea and can't explain what happened to the money.
There is apparently credible evidence that the president of the United States is a pedophile. The comforting phrase “accused him without evidence” no longer fits this situation, and journalists must resort to the more perfunctory “hasn’t been formally charged.” www.thedailybeast.com/key-details-...
WTF
I can't compete with this.
Data shows that Maine lobster harvesters took 12,000 fewer fishing trips in 2025 than the year before, an almost 10% decline in fishing effort. Via @mainemorningstar.com rhodeislandcurrent.com/briefs/maine...
One Minnesota plan, but we should run the government like a business? Kind of foggy.
Thank you @repmcgovern.bsky.social for backing my amendment to strip the pesticide liability shield from the Farm Bill.
There are 200,000+ claims tied to Roundup alone—and Republicans’ answer is immunity for chemical companies.
Every one of them voted down my amendment and sided with Big Chemical.
Independent?
Trump just put in charge of Iran a guy considered to be a hardliner *before* we killed his father, mother, and wife. We helped cement his rule by blowing up a girls elementary school, scorching their skies, and cutting off their water. We should expect retaliation—and blame Republicans for it.
