Earth and ice aren’t typically associated with Darkness, so these encounters spit in the eyes of those who try to use the elemental wheel to figure out dragon anything

I’m on mobile so I don’t have my notes, but in one of the dungeons that we run through in HW to fight Nidhogg’s forces, there’s an earth dragon mini boss right before a twinned pair of fire/ice dragons. Both encounters focus on corresponding elemental aoes

I know there’s some that attribute different elemental aspects between different hordes, pulling from Nidhogg being Dark and Hraesvelgr being Light and thus giving their children associated elements

But then two encounters throws a spanner in that one & it’s the Earth Dragon mini boss (and more)

So from what I’ve been able to gather (which take with a grain of salt), it’s hyper individualized per dragon. Their growth cycles are determined by what they desire their futures to be (if a dragonet wants to fly fast, they’ll grow into a wyvern for bigger wings), with elemental pull seeming random

They keep doing this because I think Neo Kingdom WHM also has a knife or a shortsword

i would like to invite white people in the ffxiv fandom to stop speaking about racial issues with authority unless it is to apologize for taking up so much space and/or doing so much harm. if you've got the impulse to get up on a soapbox, maybe channel that energy into amplifying actual black voices

What studying different media can teach you as a writer:

I think the only person willing to run a game for her would be Urianger because she'd be a nightmare otherwise. Y'shtola, G'raha, and Alphinaud are there as consistent party members, with Thancred and Alisae doing spot cameos from time to time.

Her cup of tea for TTRPGs would be 3.p (mixing DND 3e with Pathfinder 1e) for the crunchiness and expansive 3rd party content, but she'll play 5e for accessibility if people let her have her gestalt home rules.

Fana would be that insane gestalt rules person who would only insist on gestalt rules rather than just simply multiclassing like a sane person.

Her favorite gestalt to run would be wizard/rogue and she'd have 300 pages of custom lore for it and any institutes connected to it.
