Starting intently at a phone while riding the #MontrealBlueLine #MintréalLigneBleue. I was sitting across for this person, and he no did he look up from his phone at all - this gave me 15 full minutes to complete the sketch. The person sitting next to me was suggesting corrections throughout.

Snoozing on the #MontrealBlueLine #MontréalLigneBleue in the AM - she gave me enough to finish this portrait.

Starting at a phone on a Thursday morning on the #MontrealBlueLine #MontréalLigneBleue.

Unfinished afternoon sketches. I have to time my commutes more carefully. During rush hour, the #MontrealBlueLine #MontréalLigneBleue is too crowded, and it is impossible to complete a single sketch.

Nevertheless, it was landscape sketches that forced me to not only rely on outlines but to use shades.

Even though it is landscapes that I want to draw, I have not explored much. I can only sketch during dead time (commutes) so it is usually people that I get to sketch (during metro rides) and only occasionally highways. Hopefully this summer I will find some time.

Riding the #MontrealBlueLine #MontréalLigneBleue on a Friday morning. I had 10-15 minutes to focus on this person - getting to the Metro around 9:00AM has advantages (more sleep + less people moving around so that I can have a clear view of other riders...)

Thanks Mark. This one came out surprisingly well. It was fortunate that I had a clear view of the guy for 15 minutes; also, I am starting to learn how to use the side of my 5.6mm lead.
