Judging by my kid's reaction to @rosieethor.bsky.social 's This Is How We Roll, I need to read it next. (This is assuming it doesn't get enshrined in our house somewhere.)

The reason I fight so hard for trans kids is because I was a trans kid myself. I knew who I was in the year 2000, 12 years old, behind my computer, using the name Erin. I wanted puberty blockers so badly. My body shifted and changed in horrifying ways that I suffered for 15 years over.
Medical transition for trans kids is now banned for new referrals on the NHS. Trans kids in the UK can still go private or DIY (for now).
This means the new clinics that replaced GIDS are close to useless at best, conversion therapy at worst. 1/5

Puberty blockers have been banned on the basis of a fake study conducted by a generalist paeditrician.
Hormones for under 18s have been banned on the basis of a fake review conducted by a head injury specialist.
Both remain available for cis kids because that's 'different' somehow

That's what I did 2 years ago! There are a few places where it WILL wear off (around shoulder buttons, near the cooling vent).
Mine is black and purple and sparkly.
Worthwhile to use the vinyl button covers as a template so you can use textured stickers on the front flat buttons.
Let's be clear about what the "SAVE Act" is all about, another phase of the "rigged election" strategy. Trump is exploiting the voter fraud myth he created to pass laws and enact policies that will make it harder to vote, suppress votes, cause confusion, & sow distrust democracy. Rinse. Repeat.
One of the things that most fucked me up back in the egg was that my first exposure to a transgender character in animation was *Mister fucking Garrison* in South Park.

If you aren't actually paying out what you owe to the creators who sell their work on your platform, what even is the point of you? @Itch.io has one job: to operate as a platform for independent creators to sell our work directly to our audience. It's shameful that this happens so frequently.

The "just be an effeminate gay boy" discourse is so smugly disingenuous & self-congratulatory! It makes me vibrate with "that's not how anything works" energy! Best analogy I've got is that it's like listening to a non-academic explain the subject of my PHD to me.
"Yeah my dude, you figured it out!"
If you ever want to read a paper for free and can't find it otherwise, email the lead author and politely ask for a copy. You will not be bothering the person. You will in fact make their whole entire day. I have had scientists get so excited I asked they sent me everything they ever published.
Until cis people learn sit down, shut up, & recognize trans people as the experts on our own needs, then our access to care will always be subject to their whims, their bigotry, & their disgust over something they are incapable of understanding.
