I love Grichuk as a lefty mashing 4th OF, but to be clear, I still hope Dominguez is a big part of the future. There’s a good chance Grisham craters and Jasson starts against righties at some point in 2026, but a year of work on defense and his right handed swing at AAA isn’t the end of the world.

I made him in MLB the Show last year just because his name was so cool. Turns out he’s actually a nice reliever prospect on top of that.

I’m not saying Jones will be good, just that he’s got a weird ass makeup that I don’t know how it plays in the bigs. He also will see more strikes in the bigs than the minors just as a rule, so there’s a weird possibility there too for either boom or bust. He’s a tough one to value.

They’re becoming a rarity as those metrics become king, but I’m thinking back on the Chris Carter’s, the Adam Dunn’s, and of course the Joey Gallo’s who were given run because of their huge power but short lived because of their contact issues. But none of them had the glove or speed of Jones.

I think what’s tough with Jones is that even though he needs to make cut down on the strikeouts, guys like that carve out short term careers because of the power, but when you consider the defense and speed, he’s in a realm of his own and impossible to value.

Is it just me or has this been an unbearably boring start to spring training for the Yankees? They know Kahnle, Beeks, Nester, Giolito, and Cristian Vazquez are available for just money, right?

I have a feeling no matter what his career ends up being, we are gunna see some highlights of his big league home runs for years to come because damn.

I am 100% on board with this and I’m 100% on board with Mary Elizabeth Winstead being in everything. Take my money.

Chris Bassitt, Nasty Nestor, Zac Gallen, Lucas Giolito are interesting too. Chad Green, Tommy Kahnle, Liam Hendricks, Joe Ross, John King, Danny Coulombe, Jalen Beeks are all good arms too. Wonder if there are some steals out there.

As all the "fuck it, I just need to get to camp" signings start, curious to see if the Yankees grab a RHH Catcher with the Kraken, Mitch Garver, Jacob Stallings, Christian Vazquez still out there. Randal Grichuk would still be nice, but I don't know if there's room post-Goldy on the bench.

I don’t dislike Grisham, but I really wanted a much better player than him being the reason Dominguez wasn’t getting an everyday gig. Feel like the Martian slander is out of control. There’s a very good chance Dominguez is one of the best three outfielders on the roster this year.

This just feels right.

I believe he had some kind of surgery but I thought it was his non-throwing arm. I know they resigned him this winter to keep the experiment going, but it would be a bummer if it was his throwing arm.

Behind Antonio Gomez, this is my second favorite position player to pitcher storyline of the season.

It is time. Give me baseball.
