A Dell comic, Marge's Little Lulu Tubby Annual #2. Tubby discovers that Lulu has changed their clubhouse sign from No Girls Allowed to Now Girls Allowed. Buell didn't work on the comic book series, but it was very successful and how I am most familiar with the character.

Today is the birthday of cartoonist Marjorie Henderson Buell (Dec. 11, 1904-May 30, 1993), creator of the Little Lulu comic strip that first appeared in The Saturday Evening Post in 1935. The character went on to success in animation & comic books & appeared in Kleenex ads throughout the 40s & 50s.
