An inexcusable act of political violence by one disturbed individual must never be exploited as justification for broader censorship and control.
This Administration is increasingly using the weight of government power to suppress lawful expression. π§΅

The NBA says it will investigate if a $28 million endorsement contract between Kawhi Leonard and a California-based sustainability services company allowed the Los Angeles Clippers to circumvent league salary cap rules, following a report by journalist Pablo Torre.

Over at The Verge I wrote about how the Trump administration destroyed U.S. wireless competition, using a disastrous (and now doomed) plan that involved Dish Network as cover:
EchoStar has agreed to sell $23 billion worth of spectrum licenses to AT&T in a deal spurred by threats made by the Federal Communications Commission to revoke EchoStar's rights to use the spectrum. arstechnica.com/tech-policy/...

The GOP is redirecting billions in infrastructure bill broadband grants (which they voted against) away from reliable fiber and toward expensive, congested satellite networks.
Users will pay more money for slower, more expensive service, and the GOP will falsely claim they fixed U.S. broadband

I think we have been witnessing a soft launch of Commissioner Wax.
It makes sense. There have been multiple op-eds by Simington and Wax over the past few weeks covering various issues. Commissioners donβt typically coauthor policy pronouncements with their staff members.
Just speculation at this point. Comm Daily said this about a replacement: βthere's some speculation that the White House could choose Simington's recently hired chief of staff.β
Word on the street is that Wax will be replacing Simington at the FCCβ¦

Right, similar network usage fees havenβt quite worked out in S. Korea. The FCC dropped the ball by not also reforming the contribution side when it changed the distribution side.
But you are right about the change in circumstances at the FCC. None of this may matter when they decide to make Starlink the national broadband provider.
